I haven't even read all the posts but I have a desire to respond immediately!
*NO, I DO NOT HAVE A JOB!*
I've always worked and while I was married, I went to college and obtained a degree in a field where the real money is made by starting a company - vs. working for someone else.
Divorced only weeks after obtaining my degree, I did land a job, a low paying job, in the industry.
I lost my job 3 weeks ago!
My mother is deceased and I have helped my father out more than he could ever help me. Well, he works on and around my house but financially, I have bailed him out more times than I can count.
I own my home. I have a car that is paid for. I pay my own bills. I have no children. I am self supportive. I am on unemployment but I also have no choice but to survive.
So while I can only imagine that there are many low lifes on this site, there are people like me that are unemployed due to unfortunante circumstances.
I just hope that people out there give people like me a chance.
On the other hand, I have no respect for moochers, users, abusers, etc.

Golly I'm self employed. I didn't realize I didn't work. I wonder what I have been doing for the last 15+ years????? Just so you know I work 24/7/365. YES 24 hours a day!!!! I work in the emergency/service industry, and am the sole employee/owner. I provide a service that requires me to be available at ALL TIMES. If the phone rings I am off to work. In the last 15 years I have managed to take 3 days off. PLEASE PLEASE do not equate "self employed" as not working. I can see why you do, but keep an open mind until you know for sure. I would hate for anyone to think I do not have the integrity to provide for myself and my family.........Thanks!!

Yes i am self employed, Photographer, web designer and sales rep and photographer for a local add magazine. While i work in photoshop i go between screens and type to my buds on here, i guess it's called multi tasking.
I guess you have been meeting he wrong people on here.

When I see self employed I think they are a business owner. Becareful about being judgemental, you might miss out on something wonderful. 
Many people say self employed for many reasons.....

Yes I work 45 hours a week in a garage and am on wrecker call at nights and weekends plus take care of a house and kids alone.I still find time to come on here.I live by my job and take lunch at home and pop in to see whats happening here.

I have a job thank God! I've had my job 14 years and I'm greatful. I've met over a dozen men in person and they all have decent jobs. They are all greatful too! That's one of the opening lines to have a chat with someone new. So, what do you do for work? If they say, "I'm on social security, retired or a full time student." In their late 30's or 40's. Take it from there.

I have full service connected disability from D.Storm, but I built the largest Poker Intertainment Company in Floridas history. I made 2.5mill. I decided to retire. I hope your not offended.
I was concidered least likely to succeed in high school in my class. I found a trade, learned about it and ran with it.
Didn't mean to affend anyone with a job. My clients were my bosses. EVERYBODY HAS A BOSS.
Even Business owners.

I read in the paper 2 weeks ago that NY based Pepsie Co.s are closing 6 plants and 3300 people will be put out of work.
Not your fault,a lot of major co.s went to mexico but did'nt announce it.

The OP asked a question and I answered it with my reply. Why would I be offended, to what you do with your life? Did you notice I said I was greatful I have a job and so are others I met on this site? I guess you need to explain yourself.
