Would you choose not to use the system at all? And if you stayed, and had established a very enjoyable rhapport with someone through this type of interaction, if you finally passed the "trial" period and then saw what they looked like, would you back away/cool off/slow down/etc. if the person didn't meet your expectations (even if you had really enjoyed the interaction the two of you had)? Do you believe the fact that we have the ability to see photos of others creates the potential for 'pursuing' someone who might be the worst match ever, and passing by someone who could be the best thing that ever happened to us?

I think you can be emotionally attracted to someone without seeing them. I am emotionally invested in some of my friends, but to pic someone that I could spend the rest of my life with there has to be that physical attraction.
