I guess the best answer I have to that is - I kiss on a first date IF I feel like I want to kiss (or be kissed) by him at that time. Normally though I do not kiss on a first date, or hold hands, or anything other physical activity, other than maybe a greeting/goodnight friendly hug. I prefer to get to know a person a little before I "get physical" in any way really...very old fashioned here. Having said that I will also say there is ALWAYS the exception - never say never, it may very well just be "right".

Here's why I usually don't kiss on the first date: I don't want to confuse what feels good physically with how I feel about my date overall. I prefer a hug to a kiss on the first date. If I'm not sure whether I really like my date or not, then I don't want to confuse my feelings by finding out that he's a GREAT kisser.

I myself have not met any man that I felt drawn to kiss on a first date..I need more time to develop intimate feelings..I don't go around just kissing anybody...kissing is very intimate and usually the first date you are both strangers...
