Many of us experience giving, These are the times where we concern ourselves with the welfare of others. These are the times when we offer our hearts with no
Strings attached.

We also want to receive deeply and freely, to fully experience what it means to be given to. To be nourished, touched and transformed by life.

So which are you a giver or receiver?

So which are you a giver or a receiver? Have you ever been nourished, touched and transformed by life?

I am more a giver than a receiver. Life is a continual experience of nourishment, touching and transformation.

I pour myself out so much that when I do receive it is a bit awkward for me

I find a balance in my life even though it is more in Giving of myself

I'm a giver... and I give good, however... If I don't receive as well then the giving stops. By receiving I mean as little as an appreciative comment/look/embrace for my actions. Without receiving anything in return, I start to feel taken advantage of and unappreciated, and that's the beginning of the end for me.

I have always been a giver, sometimes to my own detriment. I give in the hope that it will be returned, but not necessarily with the expectation that it will be.

Giver....Funny you ask-I just received an email asking if I received as good as I give. Wasn't too sure how to take that, but I replied "NO".

More specifically: "Nice profile.....
Do you receive, as abundantly-as you give...?"

im a giver to an extent! some people take and take till theres nothing to give and dont return the favor. when you meet that 1 person who is truely grateful and returns whatever is given it makes all the effort worthwhile! give unconditionally and recieve 10 fold in return.....right?

I was the giver in my marriage. A dear friend of mine made an interesting observation, often givers don't know HOW to receive. I now pay attention and want to make certain the other party has the ability to both give and receive.

Feeling that you are taken advantage of is sad.
I can understand why it would be the beginning
of the end.

We all need to receive to feel appreciated.

A giver to the point of self detriment. I have learned over the years to curb it somewhat, but not nearly enough to prevent all anguish and heartache. I finally have a relationship with someone that gives me as much and more as I give.........I'm still trying to get used to it. It is a wonderfully scary experience that I pray I never take for granted.

i enjoy being a giver. i have felt tho in the past i have given too much of myself to men but i did not receive in the end the way i needed to receive. so in the next relationship i will give w/my heart but not to the point where there isn't an equal balance. because too much giving and not enuf receiving on either person's side is what kills the relationship.

but to my kids, family and true friends giving is just a natural from the body, mind and soul. and when i receive back when its good, its good!

giving has to be given w/no expectations of anything in return. some ppl only give w/expectations in mind, and that to me is wrong, wrong, and more wrong...
