If a dog was the teacher you would learn stuff like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.!
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back in the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you 're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

I also think its ok for men to cry even though I am sure it makes them feel vunerable. Why would it be any different for a situation to affect a woman/man in a different way if its sad its sad. Of course women are more emotional so it does not take as much to make us cry and we have not been conditioned to hold back the tears as men were told as young boys. I have a feeling in this day and age the little boys are probably not told to hold in those tears as moms and dads are more liberated.

Sometimes little girls are told not to cry. It doesn't bother me to see a man cry and even though I was told not to cry I tend to tear up easier than I use to. But tears of joy are the BEST !!!

I feel a compassion for men who can easily show their feelings and still maintain being a man. Now this does NOT mean I think it's appropriate to start balling at a drop of a hat but a tear or two shows you're a caring person. JMO

I have not cried every often, but I don't think it's wrong for a man to show his emotions.

As shell stated it does make a man feel vulnerable..we were taught we
are suppose to be tough...and yes there is a fear that it can be used
against us. But over the years my attitude is I do not care if a person
looks as me as weak...men hurt at times no different then woman. We just
do not show it as often...keeping it all in is not a healthy thing to do.
