Yes they were strong and stuck it out...and had 9 children to top it off. I truly tried and thought i would never divorce, especially having my daugther. He thought the grass was greener on the other side Who knows maybe i will find it one day.
Ps. I did get a dog.......for my daughter.LMAO

Some think that it's just their generation's outlook on love and marriage. My parents have been married over 50 years and raised 6 kids. Perhaps it was easier for their generation because they didn't have the pressures of "modern day society." They certainly had pressures, just different ones. Whatever it is, it is good to look at relationships that have survived that long, because you can learn from the experiences of others - if you open your mind.

Unconditional love started on the cross. It is the one thing we all seek and rarely find.It is what we have for our children. It is being accepted for who we are and loved to peices anyway.  Many types of love in this world today, but only awsome love is unconditional we find in black and white.

I like this topic so much...its hard thats right to find someone to love truly love. I think as wemon we all have emotional issues out our asses and to the men they have issues with the wemon that have the emotional issues and what they dont realize they were the ones that put it there. Studies say that for every 7 men at least one of them have found true love in there life. So why is that we all give up? Well lets think about this how often do we really have to fight for something I mean truly fight.. We think it should just fall into our laps in potato chip bag.
Now to the men who is reading this I know that it is hard to find the RIGHT women. I know its hard to find your match. SO i guess what I am saying to you is change the way you look and change the type you look for...as my grandpa always says "You dont know what you dont know"
As for my ladies out there think of it when you go fishing and you use the bate...your the bate the man is the fish. So what i have to say to you is maybe your bate is wrong and you need to change the bate. Be who you are because no matter what I promise the guy will eventually see who you are NO MATTER WHAT....and it might not be what he is looking for....
So unconditional love is hard to find just remeber that it is out there its your job to find it....

My grandparents were married for over 50 years too.... but they didnt even really like eachother. And... my grandmother told me she had had an affair that lasted over 20 years until the man died. People might have stayed together for better or worse, but where do you draw the line when it comes to the worst. Unconditional love is great if both people love and respect eachother and are committed to their relationship, but some things, i think a condition should be put on.
My daughters grandparents have the relationship that I hope to find one day. You can just look at them and feel the love and respect they have for eachother.

68 years together now for my parents both now 94. never entered their minds to separate when trouble & problems arose. They took a vow and nothing would break it.

Thanks for sharing everyone......My parents didn't have the perfect marriage, then again nobody is perfect in the first place, right? They went through alot of rough times, good and bad. But the love and determination never died. They stuck it out. I am sure many times they wanted to give up, but they didn't. I grew up in a stable environment and i wish i could have given that to my daughter. I am ok with my divorce, but i hate it for my daughter. I wish everyone luck in finding that special someone to love and make them happy. Keep smiling!

My Mother and father been married 34 years
They allways tell each other they love each oter allways kissing , hugging,
See them walk down the street hand in hand,
Way they look at each other
I hope i can have the love they have for each other
ps, my Mother allways says she will NEVER leave my Father as that would make him HAPPY

I think that's what we all would like to have, I know I want that, you know sometimes you think that is what you will have and it just doesn't work out. My first marriage could have been like that - but we were just too young. But before I would ever take that vow again it's going to be for good and for real true unconditional love. Good luck to us all in finding that.
