do yourself a favor and since you already have friday off take your daughter out for lunch or take her out of school early and make it a mother daughter day.let her go on her weekend she already has planned......and so does the 'sitter'.saturday go do something you enjoy and while you're out pick up something special for the sitter.finish the day with a nice bubblebath and a massage.when you pick your daughter,give that gift and you'll make a couplke people happy.plus you'll have no worries for a sitter in the future
I think this is an amazing idea.... It can be a "Remember your worth so much more" Weekend!! Awesome Idea!!

There is not one "positive" aspect to this story---it doesn't sound very good. Don't bother wondering why--it isn't worth the effort and you do NOT need to hear any excuses. Eventually you will find someone but for now, this one did NOT work out very well. Sorry--but it does happen. Smile--tomorrow is another day.

I am going through the same thing right now myself except it has only been a little over a month. Always something else. If he REALLY wanted to see you, he would find a way and not make excuses. I am going to take the advice all of you have given and move on. Thanks!

I am a guy who likes to give people a second chance. Of course you have done that. I hate to say this but I agree with what all have said on here. Now here is the bad part of this thing. There are some nice guys on here and you seem like a nice lady, are you going to stick your neck out for the next guy? Maybe, maybe not. That's the problem, and it does work both ways though. Mr. Right might be right in front of you but because there are people in this world who like to play there games you might end up not giving some better person the chance. But then that has nothing to do with being on here, just make it a little easier to do than actually going out and meeting someone. Well I hope you don't give up on all of us because of one guy. He sounds selfish. Why do you have to call him,or drive to see him? Don't do anything for a man unless he has earned it.Overgiving or doing too much too soon, will only make a man lose respect for a woman. In the begginning don't do anything for a man. If he is really interested in you, he will go to any length to be with you. Hold onto your self worth and get rid of this loser- before it is too late.

Ok...you ladies have to learn something if you haven't by now.
For every guy who says he's in construction,(and there are some very dedicated and professional ones) there are a thousand guys who say they are. Same goes for contractors.
While you may have found one of the "good" ones, what it usually means is...
"In Construction"= If you held a gun to his head, he maybe could find a hammer.
"Contractor"= Owns a pickup truck to carry other unemployed guys (and the hammers they found) to the bar.
This same rule applies to the majority of women who claim to be employed in "child care", "office temp", and "interior design."
Again, this certainly isn't ALL of them, but more often than not it's simply an excuse why they have random work hours, and alot of downtime. Being an assistant bartender at the VFW for a couple hours on the weekend, isn't a career.

Listen, I don't know about you but two important qualitities for me are reliability and sincerity. It doesn't sound like this guy possesses either one of these. You seem like a lovely woman. I'm sure some other man is out there waiting to sweep you off your feet.
