I think this is a wonderful thread. I have THE MOST respect for any and all service people.
I do have a question. I have tried a couple times to search on how to be connected with a service person to exchange letters/emails send care packages ect., but when I do a search on the internet it only give me site to send money, so that a organization will send the military person things.
I love to bake, I love to write emails and letters. My brother was in the service, and my family made sure the he had a letter everyday for mail call. Trust me, my brother said it made all the difference in the world.
If anyone can help guide me in finding out how to do this, I would appreciate it. I'm already firing up the oven to bake some fresh cookies for the platoon if I have to. LOL
This really does mean alot to me, and I really do take this seriously. Men and women are protecting me, the least I can do is take a few minutes to write a letter and send a care package.
Thank you in advance for your help.

why not do it direct...
what I have done is asked people directly for their family members address...also lucky in our local newspaper postes address...
if you look above you on the thread....there is a Mom of an 82 ab man in afgan....wife alone in NC....
ask...I am sure she will give it to you...as will the 82 (whole unit he's in more than welcome home baked goodies...and a note to his wife would be appericted too....
the 82nd. has a wonderful deployment system, and setup for family of deployed...but it is still deployment...only know this cause son was 82nd...and went to the sanbdox when they drew the line in the sand...ha that was supposed to prevent what we have now...right...
nice to meet you....and never stop what support you can give....like an email to the mom above...if I can be of any help...just let me know...
Lynne
Mom's name is Catdoll...right above you...
