I will not ask for someone to be/have more than I can offer. I don't wish to settle and that's why I am still here, Working on me and trying to be Patient.

I don't think there's such a thing as a "perfect" match (no one is perfect), and I don't think people should "settle" for just anything that comes along. I guess the hard part is finding the finding a happy medium. (No, I don't mean a happy fortune teller either). LOL

Not me.
I need some culture , someone who can relate to my wants and needs.
Someone to go out and look at the Egyptian Expo at the New York Museum Of Modern Art and actually understand the difference between Sanskrit and hieroglyphs
Someone who can relate to my beliefs and theories and be open minded to the possibility of more then the eyes can see.
In other words I AM DOOMED , lol.

Aww Troy, dont worry, there are those of us who are smart enough to know the difference between the egyptians subcultures, and actually interested enough to care....and learn more about it.
And who are smart..willing to learn more and be smarter, BUT always... have fun...be funny...love a man with a sense of humor and confidence...YUM...purrrrrrrr..
Personally, I read a lot of intellectual books, but I also need/want what I call 'marshmallow fluff' books...just comfort food..LOL
Dig deeper, honey, they are out there...you just havent found her yet!
I dont think it is picky to want a woman who is your intellectual equal.
(But gosh, its just so hard to be as smart as you big.......sigh.....strong...sigh...men....) looongggg....sigh...batting eyelids...
LOL
Luv ya

We all should make a list of all the things that are important to us. If we have for example 30 things we want in a person and 10 of those are "must haves". Now say you find someone who meets all of your "must haves" and most of your other criteria, is that good enough? What are the chances we will meet someone who is a better fit for us? Don't forget, they have their list too, do we measure up for them?
Damn interpersonal relationships, no easy answers.

The core issue is respect. Respect for yourself and respect for your partner. Without this foundation, the rest of the structure is at risk.

Well, I have settled before, and was very disappointed. There is no reason to live with something that will cause you more difficulties and stress than you need when you knew to begin with that it wasn't up to you 'standards', those things that you can't live with or without.
Hell, I learned the hard way too many times that if it seems too good to be true, then it is. Even found proof of my ex lying... even when I believed him until I saw it recently. I might have many things that I must have in the person I want to be with, they aren't unreasonable qualities to look for.
