I have not been as selective about my dating part of my life. Some I was not really attracted to but we had a blast. Some were gorgeous but I missed out on the intelligent conversing. But I am tired of the dating scene... is that simple and am wanting to settle down. That would be a lifetime commitment.. YES.. a commitment lol And I am going to wait until that ONE comes along and I will know when he is that ONE

I think there is a difference between selective and picky. Picky would be if they didnt part their hair in the right spot for you. But selective would be, not to compromise in your beliefs and what you want from a relationship, ie employment, age, sense of humor, politenes, ext. So keep being selective because you are worth it. If dont think you are they wont either.

I wouldn't call myself picky...I learned from my prior relationships and now I know exactly what I want and what I don't want...I also know how much I am willing to sacrifice for that special someone...It may sound picky to you, but I call it experience...

I have to admit to myself that when I got married I was settling. Now it is time to do something for myself and find a woman who is honest, hard working, and shows affection. If that is being to picky, then I am in trouble.

I think being picky is being self-centered, and settling is believing your mate is really not who you want. We all got flaws, and untill we appreciate whoever we come across as a special person, it will always be being picky or settling. The biggy is the other person appreciating us as a special person.

tru, i think ur looking for something we are all looking for and i personaly dont think that there is anything wrong with "KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT" some may call it picky but to me, its just that finding someone thats right for u, does not come very easy. sometimes it comes when u least expect it and may take yrs... so while ur waiting "HAVE FUN AND ENJOY" and always keep in mind that whats meant to be will be..... fate is fate. good luck
