Should a follower recieve any on-going revelation as to the religion's teachings and begin to seriously question the teachings by pointing out certain inconsistencies, they will quickly be told in a number of ways to Hit the road Jack, and don't come back. ...The way I look at it is...if someone starts to question what is being taught, then it probably is time to look elsewhere for spiritual growth,knowledge and comfort.Lets face,most of us who choose to do our own searching,were at one time, very comfortable and content with those teaching us otherwise. But we didnt give up on God. I also see more times than not, where people "dont" give up on the whole God thing,because of these revelations,yet look for another place to worship and or be connected to Him. Most people who say they have felt "the Holy Spirit" come alive in them,are not willing to give it up because of misguided teachings or unhappiness with their current Religion and those beliefs.They look elsewhere to 'fill their cup'(so to speak).
