Hi all! new here and as for me, I'll say divorced for 7 happy years now and it really doesn't matter unless you are getting into legal terms or in another relationship, that's the way I see it

I agree..big difference.. Single people have no idea about what being married is. I would never date a single man. I think that in order for a man to understand me he has to have worn the divorce shoes. I would really like to fid a man who is raising his kids too.. I tried dating a man who had his kids every other weekend ..that didn't work either.. I keep saying that I'm gonna be alone till my kids are grown..Damn 7 years is a long time..

I've found that whey you say divorced it turns most women off. when I say single and they ask if I've ever been married, when I say yes they say "so your divorced". so divorced it is. I prefer single though.

I think it depends on how long you have been divorced. I was actually wondering the same thing at what point do you stop saying divorced and start putting single? It not my fault I got divorced, my husband was an alcoholic and choose the bottle over me. I was thinking maybe you put single are over the break up. I am not ashamed to be divorced, but like someone else said people seem to react different when you say I am divorced, instead of single. Its no different than being in a long term relationship and breaking up, that doesnt give you another title.

Unattached is single. What is the difference between a 40 year old who has just gotten out of a 10 year relationship and a 40 year old that just recently divorced....the legal bills. Single means not attached. Divorced means broke.

isn't there is the statement single, never married too?
I don't think it is big thing provided it is the truth...
what i have run into a couple of times, is some people see seperated as single...for me that is a no go...

Divorced, It is away to show you made the effort but the ex was worthless some wat or another.
