You meet someone and as more and more time goes by you find yourself more and more attracted to them. Then you find out, that they are outside of your self-set dating rules. They've cheated on a past spouse, they're an alcoholic, they've been married 5 times, or they are not your race but you thought they were.
We all have rules we live and date by, but if you found yourself falling for someone who doesn't fit in your dating parameters, would you kick them to the curb even though the two of you get along great? Or do you proceed but with caution?

Depends on how far out of my bounds. Everyone makes mistakes. Maybe he learned from it and would no longer cheat. Married would not forgive for lying to me and putting me in the middle of that.

We have "rules" partly because we don't trust ourselves to make a judgment call. We want to set boundaries for ourselves while we are thinking in the bright light of day.
And we break them because we are human. And usually live to regret it.
But not always.

Clarification: Would not meet one who was an alcoholic or they've been married 5 times, or they lied to me.
I will be meeting one soon out side other peramiters I thought needed to be set.

if its the small stuff i'd proceed with caution but if its one of my dealbreakers, (he's married, he's racist, he's abusive, he's an alkie, he has no spirituality), i wouldn't kick him to the curb...i'd walk him to the curb.
