With everything there is to catch out there and knowing I have been celibate for years and am safe to be with. I would prefer knowing I had nothing to fear being with a man.
If he too is celibate that would make him more attractive to me.

Almost too embarressed to admit it but I have been celibate for yrs due to "sick spouse"and being a "one man woman". Now that Im single again, Im really nervous about finding a "clean partner" and I find myself looking at forty something guys and salivating, whats wrong with me ?

Hey Burn...I know what you mean about the sick spouse. The last time for me was in 2003...I think...Could have been 2002. Anyway, it has been a while. And I confess that I salivate at good looking women too....but am I strange in wanting LOVE? My friends tell me that they would give their eye-teeth to be single, financially independent, getting close to looking like my old Clark Kent self....and that they would do everything in a skirt that could.
I can't do that. I want real love. Sex is...just sex. Anybody can get that. That's easy. But I want real love. I wouldn't feel right having sex with someone that I didn't love or that didn't love me too. Sex alone...that's something that pigs do. Love is something that only the human heart or perhaps an angelic heart...a Godly heart can do. Isn't love what life is all about?

Bum , there is nothing rong with you .infact you should be rather proud to have been there for your partner ,i did the same for mine ,so hold your head up and be proud of yourself you are a good person ,you will find someone with out looking ,in the mean time have fun here with us gl

I think it can be very interesting. Then you both get to explore different things that please you... at the same time you may learn something. I've heard alot on this issue just standing back and watching what alot of different people respond to. I think it could be a very good thing. On the other hand I'm sure it could also have it's downfalls.

me personally, havent had sex since april... not a bad thing, just weird, i made myself independent.. atleast you can say your not a wh*re dog.. the time just hasent caught up to us yet... but u never forget how to do it... u might do it real well since it hasent happened in a while.. you cant teach an old dog new tricks...

Well Peregrina, I was nervous too.......he was 10yrs younger than me, very well built & good looking........ I guess I had a brief moment of anxiety......but really, it is just like riding a bike. Once you're naked & all the dirty secrets are revealed (Haha!) you just gotta relax & enjoy it! Best of luck to you Honey!
BTW, he & I are the best of friends but we aren't seeing eachother (sexually) anymore. Nobody's fault.......just bad timing. He had to make the way for my true love.

Here is my take on it
Chances are , if my partner hasn't had sex in a long time:
1)She must really trust me , i am honored
2)She probably can't remember how well the last lover did(Extra points for me, lol)
3)Legend says that if a woman goes without sex for a long time , her vagina Tightens(OH HELL YES)
4)Its a chance for me to show her why Italians do it better
