Casper, I'm sorry that happened to you. If you too the courage and time to buy a plane ticket and the guy bailed then he a looser and while you're out $400.00 it could have been a couple of years. That really would have sucked

I just think these kinds of people need to be exposed as jerks. There is simply no reason for it unless everything he said about himself was one big fat lie..which I am sure it was. It's just a bad reflection on those who are serious about dating...makes me a lot gun shy now..I won't be buying next time...

I would like to consider myself as honest and real as it gets.... but I couldn't afford to fly someone in to visit.
At least, not right now
(I'm in the expensive process of moving)
I'm new on this site and have seen some ladies I'm *very* interested in...
But I would probably fly in some online friends I've known for years before I would fly in a lady I just met here.
But if one of the ladies I'm interested in on this site wanted to visit me.... I would try to be the ever accomidating host
Condemn me for saying that... but I'm just being honest and real 
standing someone up is just WRONG.
Whether if just around the corner or an expensive flight is involved.

Well, you're not alone. There's a video on the internet like a mastercard "priceless" commercial where he lists all the money he had invested in her. She went to college, (Georgetown, I think.) He flew out to see her within the first month, and she ditched him. He got to spend the night on DC streets because he didn't have the $$$ for a room on such short notice. His revenge? the second half of the video is of the two of them going at it, and she knew he was recording because she adjusted the camera. IDiots don't belong to a specific gender or race. Idiocy is an equal opportunity employer.

Well in my eyes if he was any kind of man at all he would have paid all or at least half the ticket anyway, but really I am sorry this happen to you and for sure I would put his name all over the internet so it don't happen to somebody else some people get off on stuff like that but its just not cool makes it hard on the honest people.

Yes Casper, he should be exposed, but i think i would send e-mails to all the women on here you converse with and they do the same, that way you dont risk anything in return, so as a group i think we all agree, i am sorry that someone would do that to such a nice person.....

maybe look at it this way: he could have been one of those guys who keep women in his basement, never to be heard from again.
At our age, it is best to check them out with public records. Maybe even call his neighbors. A guy with nothing to hide would not feel intimidated.
