I understand both sides to the question. A friend should be a friend even if it's been a day or two they should at least say "Hi, have a nice day", I mean how long does that take. Right? I don't have but a few friends but I stay in contact. Maybe not every day but If I don't IM them I write a "hello" usually each morning, and wish them a wonderful day, before I go to work because I try to be the friend that I want them to be to me. I guess to some people "friend", means something different. I do like to chat and IM with someone before becoming their friend. I like to get an idea as to their personality and whether they are someone I would like to have as a friend. I mean not everyone can click with someone as a friend. I like to have some things in common or similar personality. Not everyone makes a good friend. If we have some good conversation then I will accept or offer the friendship. Then I am a loyal friend. That's how it works for me. Anyone out there looking for a loyal friend. Let's chat. My email and IM are available.
