I generally don't get hung up on the holidays because they are too commercialized. I let the good times roll for the Feast of Brigit (Feb 2) because winter is half over by then and no one else knows that's something to celebrate!

I really DON'T want to be alone for these holidays either! Christmas is OK, because I have so much family and running around to do it keeps me busy.....
BUT NEW YEAR'S is the WORST for me. Means a new year is starting and I have no one to celebrate life with. New Years was always a special holiday - I equate it with celebrating love and friends and being with them.

After you spend 3 Christmas' in the military playing cards and getting drunk with your buddies if your not on duty at Christmas, it kinda sticks with ya and just makes it another day...
