I don't get it. I travel quite a bit for work, and have noticed a dramatic difference between the obesity rates between women in the U.S., and their Canadian or European counterparts.
This IS NOT a thread to insult obese people. I have a genuine interest in trying to understand why this difference exists, assuming my observation is correct.

well here in American we are more stressed or at least make our selves more stressed over a lot of things that our European counterparts could care less about. And also I think that because a lot of our food contains more additives and preservatives that supposedly keep them fresh longer

Actually, you're correct. Studies have proven that the US has a higher obesity rate than any other country on the planet. It is mainly due to the general lazy attitude and lack of decent nutrition. I personally believe that it can be attributed directly to our society's "I want it NOW!" attitude. We want complete meals that we can throw in a microwave for 30 seconds and not have to slave over a stove like our parents did. But we're not paying attention to the nutritional content of those meals. Me personally, I've gone back to cooking over a stove. I only use my nuker to reheat meals I've already cooked. As a f'rinstance, last night I dipped salmon in beer batter, then baked it, and sauteed fresh carrots, summer squash and zucchini in margarine. The prep time took about 10 minutes, the cook time about 15, and I had a much healthier meal than if I had nuked something.

we are either to skinny or to fat we either dont exercise enough or we do it to much this is what i think of the whole situation. i dont give a shit lol
if someone is fat and they are fine with it then who cares.
