I actually believe for both reasons...for some reason I'm always getting the older ladies flirting with me...at my work it happens alot (don't get me wrong, its nice)...but how come ladies my own age seem to ignore me...do i really look older than my age?...but yes, i dont know if its cause when ur older u just don't care and want to have fun, as compared to us younger kids( which i'm not) that kinda act quiet cause we don't want to be seen as tools....but it can really suck!...So bring it on cougars!...time to come huntin' ...I'm kidding!...but it made u smile, no?

It is exactly as Alice said. Women like us still have a lot of life within us and we want the same in a man. For some reason, the men our age seem to age more quickly, are just plain tired and no longer have much spark and desire - for much of anything. Active women still have so much more to offer than just having a tidy home and a good TV. 
Exactly! Men my age just sit home and watch sports. They have nothing to converse about, don't know where to go to party, and usually have to take the blue pill before sex. That gets frustrating as in, are we gonna have sex tonight? Oh, then I'd better go take my little blue pill....said with a stupid grin on the face....and that turns me off so much that the little blue pill goes to waste. 
The youngest man I dated was 34. One word....YUMMY  
p.s. I'm from San Jose so I sneak in here once in awhile.

Younger men are curious and just want to experience what its like being with a older woman! In some cases the men can't make it with chicks their own age!
Older women are fattered and it lifts their ego when they can attract a younger man.
In most cases their just horny older women trying to regain their youth!
In most cases its all about sex, no real relationship. The guys can brag to their friends,they screwed an older woman and the women can say she got a younger man that made her feel young again!!

When I was younger, I always dated guys who were 5-10 years older than me... then when I hit my 30s, younger guys starting hitting on me all the time. When I was 37, I finally gave in and started dating a co-worker who was 10 years younger than me, and that relationship lasted 4 years. His energy and enthusiasm for life was infectious... I started seeing him 10 months afetr my mother passed away, and he reminded me what it was like to be alive again. Most guys my own age who are single are divorced and I hate dealing with all the ex-wife drama. The sex can be amazing  but it's not the only reason I prefer younger men.

No I do not want to be their mother. What is the benefit having a 22 year old in your bed when he has no career . I would say no younger than 5 years.. I want a man that is financially stable and ready to have a loving relationship no games or drama . That you would get with a 22 year old or just in the age group . No way ....

you are so rite, most men i'v met on here are all about sex, if you lay with a man first off your considered a wh*re, but if a guy does it he is macho, so for all you men out there take a good look at the womens profile before you drop your pole in the water, deep sea fish you'll put up the rite one, older women and younger men are ok in my book but would rather have one my own age, sooner or later they will leave you for a younger woman and thats not ok with me sorry

maybe it's cuz men of a certain age are falling apart,have the same haircut now as they had in the eighties and are chauvanistic,have huge pot bellies,etc.Not saying all of them do but I keep running into men that fit this discription and are only about forty,which I don,t think is that old.It's quite disheartening!

There is alot more to a relationship than that, My observation is that eighter you or they got bored and moved on. And men do not lose it if they use it a sex docter has been qouted who is in his 70's and from what I hear that is true.
I myself would rather be without sex and have a great relationship. However most men my age are only interrested in their satisfaction. I do not know why that is, I think it must be a personal choice, As when I was young that was not so, except with some some men who only thought of themselves, in every area. I think it must be the same men.To be fare a lot of women think of only their needs again I think it has to do with selfishness.
I dated a younger man for years because he treated me like I was someone spiecial, I treated him the same way, and we got along just fine, I moved away and he became involved with someone who is selfish, but rich. And he dreams about us he says, but has become selfish with all that money arousing him.

Let me count the ways. Younger men want to experience life more, they are full of zest and eager to please. If you have something you like or want to try, they will be all over it. Younger men tend not to have a sexual rut (because this is the way their last girlfriend like it).
For me, this may be a way of avoiding a long term commitment, while enjoying the spoils of being human.
I am glad that this cougar stuff is more socially exceptable...not that that ever stops me from doing anything.

YOUNGER MEN always hitting on me first, cuz they think I'm in my 30's.
Older men usually cannot keep up with me, energy wise; Sex is a plus with younger men, cuz they have drive & can go all night. But they cannot cook a decent dinner, nor do they have the brains to keep me intrigued.
The best is: A man who is slightly older, but looks younger, has ripped abs & intelligence, is closer to my age & can please me like he's 20 years younger. Finally & fortunately, that's what I am dating now!

Aside from the 2 reasons being mentioned, there must be a very good reason why some, not all older women like younger men, if it makes them feel younger, I heard that one many times before. And for crazy sex, I have been young before but sex is sex, it all depends of your appetite.

Couldnt agree more with Joyofurlife. Its to make them feel young, pretty and wanted. Pretty much the same reason older guys go after younger women. Whoever said because older women dont want the drama is REALLY fooling with themselves. People dont really change and women gotta have some drama. Thats part of the reason for the choice - old dudes wont respond to the drama like the young guys. We've seen it all before.
