I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of buying a dildo for her or giving her one as a gift.
While I was going through a divorce my wife came out wearing a cute pair of shorts, freshly shaven legs, all 5'8" and 140 pounds of a sizzling vixen... She acted all flirty and everything... Looked pretty good actually... When I was dropping off our kids.
I told her she looked good enough to eat. That common flush came over her face and she softened up to the core all excited and everything... Then I walked away and said it would taste way to tart for my liking anymore.
She bit her lip and began crying.
Since then when I drop off the kids she stays in the house. Mean? Maybe, but it's been 8 years with no hassles of her wanting me for sex!
edit: Even if she hadn't had an affair I still wouldn't give her the satisfaction.

Buy her a Dr. Phil book. I mean really... If you no longer want to be with her and she no longer wants to be with you then you should just drop the kids off and don't go in.
Honestly whatever lead up to the conversation is key. You had to share some intimate details about your lives to have a conversation about it. I'm sure she did not say this in front of the kids.
So, if you open the door you let someone walk in to trash your heart at this point. If you can't work it out close the door and blow the horn next time... I fyou want to work it out I say hey, you're still married, what if you actaully talked about something more meaningful to your lives other than sex.
A dildo is a BAD idea to me.

If your divorce is not final do not sleep with her!!!!!! Did she want the divorce? You know, before you get your final decree you will be asked and may have to bring a witness to testify that you and your ex have not reconciled during the waiting period. And sex may very well be considered a reconciliation. (At least I think that is the way it goes in Virginia) And I don't know your situation, but if you have grounds against her then they are gone if you sleep with her. I could be wrong so check with someone else. I wouldn't risk it. After your divorce is final do whatever feels right for YOU!!!! You are getting a divorce, you really don't owe her a romp in the sac.

nope! no sex with the X..or even a soon to be one!
I would think of all the little dildo's, yucky candies ect ect, but in the end, i'd do the right thing and get something from the kids. Might as well keep the peace. You've got kids together and that part of your relationship isn't ever going to go away. Think of all the nasty stuff and laugh, but be kind and just start the x-relationship off right. Putting down the X only makes yourself look bad. I try really hard to not do that in front of my kids.
