get together with some friends if you have them or maybe go make some new ones, just don't sit around and let the depression take over - do something that makes you happy. good luck.

To enjoy the true meaning of the Christmas spirit, find a place where you can volunteer your time and talents to those who are less fortunate. You never know where you will find what your heart desires.

It is.... difficult. Do you have family that lives nearby?
Be strong, and maintain yourself by being around people that make you feel good. That can be family, friends, or the internet people on this site. Most of us would like to be with a special someone, esp. during the holidays. It seems like it is a *couples world*.
Do you have any concerts in your area? Parades, events? There are many people searching for the happiness and Currier and Ives snow/sleigh rides. Please do avail yourself to the others around you. WE have to reach out...and touch other people...
they might be hurting also. Give, of yourself to those less fortunate than you...
those that just lost a loved one, quite unexpectedly.

Don't spend it alone...go to a friends house, families house or you can donate you're time to a charity and help feed the homeless...that might make you think twice about what blessings you do have in you're in life...

This will be my first x-mas alone as well, even though I have my kids with me there is a big whole in the x-mas spirit-- it called no partner to share the happy moment when the kids open there presents...
I think the worst part about being single is going to bed ALONE every night let alone these fricken holidays that just make it even worse.................

I am not sure how to answer that but I did it, now I'm going to try number 2 Christmas alone, but this year it will be harder because my boys also have other plans, so, let me know what your going to do, I may use the same idea.
