I must have missed something...thought the query was basically...are you conversationally different on the PC than in person...even with the definate limitations of the PC...why is there a need to be different...what am I missing....maybe if we were the same constant...we would get more of what we want on PC or in person???

In person I'm rather reserved, not a very talkative person. Once I had in my profile "I'm quiet but don't take that as being shy or without definite opinions!"I do enjoy being around people who are upbeat and who doesn't take life so seriously but enjoys it.
I have done many speeches and seminars when I was younger but prefer the background, not being in the spotlight! OK I'm a "lurker" that drops in mostly with my 2 cents worth every once in a while and a good listener. I love messin' with people on the Internet--so much fun!!! It allows me to be "me" more so than in person.

Boy, you don't know me until you talk one on one. I can said BIG words I can't spell. But I still listen twice as much as I talk.. Because you learn from what you hear, not what comes out of your mouth.
Later, Blu

can you share yourself on the pc...and I don't mean in forums like this???

gosh, i find myself not limited, but surely I do not use complete sentences on the computer as I do in speaking face to face. I've spoke to groups numbering close to 10,000 and held classes with 25-50 people on a pretty regular bases.
my communication skills are abbreviated here.

having taught schhol for a career...I can say I too have spoken many times in front of groups...whopee...that and 2 bucks I can take mass transit....however....the person I am here is the same person you will find in my livingroom....games are really boring and silly...if that is what someone has to offer...in words, onpc, or in person....they take too much time!!!! and should continue to spend their time hiding behind themselves, crowds or thepc
