Just recently two day ago broke up with a woman, but I can't get her out of my head. So many little things remind me of her and a twitch goes threw my heart and stomach and I feel sick to my stomack. We loved each other very much but finances and the fact I was still married. Working on divorcing but having financial issues getting it accomplished, but have been seperated for years. That mainly is what caused us to split. She didn't want to be labelled as a home wrecker and has never had an affair. I was her first and we had the most incredible 4 months of both our lives.
I do not fault her I respect her decision but man does it hurt. It ended with a huge hug and mutual respect.
How long does this sick to my stomach last I hate it!

Because everything in your body is attached. If you suffer physically you hurt mentally and emotionally. This is why doctors now take a holistic approach to medicine. Ever go to the doctor now for a physical ailment and s/he start asking you about relationships, sleeping, what's going on in your life? That's the reason. It all goes hand in hand.

For me it is not my stomach that hurts it's my heart and sometimes that is unbearable like someone twisting a knife in it. I have to say though, if I am distraught about something it does affect my stomach as well. I think that has to do with the stress chems released in your body. flight or fight syndrome...when your heart is broken and you can do neither guess what it does to your body? In time it will ease but, you have to move on or do something to correct the situation. Thinking about it all the time will just keep the pain there. Can't give you a time line that depends on you and what you choose to do about the situation.
However, I can't blame her for walking away...I would have too. If it really bothers you that much and you really love her...find a way to get the divorce. That would ease the pain! She probably didn't want to live that way and walked away figuring if you really cared and wanted the relationship you would do something about it...like get the divorce instead of making excuses. She was probably hurting as well.

You need to make that divorce priority one so you can move on.
Does MA allow pro se (do-it yourself) divorces? Are there children and support issues? Will she contest the divorce?
In the meantime, find something (not someone) to do to lower your stress level. Stress is a killer. Don't let your ex have the pleasure of walking on your grave.

No offence to you OP and I respect your honesty, but I have to say that the true test of a relationship is not one based on "infidelity". If you broke up with your other half first and then had the other relationship, I wonder whether or not it would be as exciting.
Why I say this is because when marriages hit problems or they sour, those who cheat on their spouses will naturally see the "other relationship" as wonderful and meant to be - when really, it is just that it is their "escape" from their current marital problems.
I would not trust any man who was cheating on his wife at all and I think that you should leave your wife first, in order to commit totally to the other one.
I hope it all works out for you and you do the right thing by your wife.

It's real simple you were attached mind body and soul! You feel loss and it hurts badly. there is more to it it's spiritual! There is no easy cure only time can cure it but it never goes away really.....always a memory! What we do is move on as there are others that can use your love and you them! Natural course of actions and when you think you have a handle on it and can't be hurt anymore someone comes along and rocks your world!

Thank you for sharing your insights and emotions. There are many issues that have led to my seperation and dishonesty was not one of them and the wonderfull woman I am so heart broken about knew everything about my marriage seperation and why. I hide nothing. we started as friends first and she knew everything we just fell in love. There is so much to the story.
But she did mistrust my character because I could have an affair and that I told white lies to my wife to protect her, she stated a number of times how do I know your not lieing to me. It always hurt but I never could defend myself. I did start an ernest effort to push forward with my divorce. I have decided even if I can not rekindle the currant relationship with this special person. I will be able to go forward honestly and single to hopefully another relationship that had a similar level of love and incredible intensity. But that chance may never come again. Hopefully my Irish lucky charms will prevail! thanks again your kind words have helped.

Hell you whole body should be aching not just your damn stomach, it's probable more from guilt than heart ache.
And do you think you can just validate this scenario just because she was aware of the fact that you were married..come on, that's just a damn excuse, and honestly it wasn't going to work out because it was based on a lie anyhow, the pain is unbearable isn't it.GOOD...now maybe you know how your wife feels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My doctor told me that going through a divorce was the same emotionally and physically as dealing with the death of a loved one..the body is affected in the same ways in both situations..I know you are hurting over this other woman and not your upcoming divorce, but it's still affecting you in the same manner..You can do the divorce yourself, the forms are online (at least in ca), and you will only have to pay a filing fee..

I think your energy center is in your belly and when you loose someone have sorrow it is felt there deeply and profoundly. Has to do with Asian/Indian ideas or something. If you believe in that. In my experience I never felt it there....

When you love someone you give them the power to hurt you. I have often said this and felt it. It hurts so bad because you have feelings. If it didn't hurt then you would be heartless.
Keep busy, go out with friends, dont have idle time, and as hard as it is remove all reminders of them from your computer, desk, and life and get your divorce as quickly as possible so you can get on with your life!

First the stomach issue....
I have found that I tend to actually vomit when my heart is
crushed to my soul. I believe it's the body's way of saying
you are having a hard time accepting that what you believed
to be true, is in fact only real for you but not for the person
you loved and that idea is something you just can't "swallow".
So you get sick because you struggle to accept this new view
of your relationship.
Now on to the other issue...Yep, you caused it! You were selfish, wanted
instant gratification, now you see that selfishness and impatience
hurt you. You didn't want to look at facts. If you had you would have
waited till you were in fact DIVORCED before you started another
relationship. You would have seen that emotional LAWS clearly
have painful consequences.
Karma's way of spanking you for being a greedy little boy and not
a man who handles his business with integrity.
