It just never ceases to amaze me. I see quite a few profiles for women who are 40+ listing that they are looking for a man LESS than their age. I know we have discussed this in the past, but I want to open this discussion up again. On the surface, to me, this clearly appears to be a "midlife" crisis.
What would make a woman date a young man that could be her son? I believe this is an insecurity about growing older. I see this more in women's profiles than men's. But I do not look at that many men's profiles. So what gives? I find it a self esteem and insecurity issue. Quite honestly, I think you ladies are "missing the boat" and need to accept your stature in life. Maturity and wisdom SHOULD go hand in hand. Unless you want to be someone's mom, and that will only lead to a short lived "cheap relationship." All IMHO. Ladies???? Especially those that I am singling out here. Care to respond? Thanks.... MOI????? Younger men pursue me...so do older men...and men my age. I think since I am unable or unwilling to have a profound relationship at this point, a young guy is a fun option. I see a lot of women wanting men 15 to 20 years younger then themself. With the top end being their age or maybe a couple years older. In most cases they always seem to stop at 50. Something like a 48 woman wanting a man from 30 to 50. Even seen 50 year old women not wanting men over 50.
I have asked a few women about this. Most common answer is "I don't want to get stuck with a old man." Lets face it girls, women age less gracefully and will normally lose strength and movement faster then men. Look at women and men over fifty that are the same age. MOST times you will think the woman is a lot older. So who is going to get stuck with older acting person? Why does fifty seem to be such a age limit for most of you gals?

A couple of things I have noticed about women that date a lot of younger guys over the years.
Most times they are fairly attactive women that do look younger then their years. They take great pride in being the chosen plaything of these playboys.
They brag about how they always date younger men, but never seem to have a steady boyfriend. Or if they do, it last a very short time.
They are normally very well known in the bars and clubs around town. Also they have a lot of younger men hanging around them when they "do the town" on their own or with girlfriends. Especially around closing time.
When their looks start to fade in their much later years, they finally start looking for a man closer to their own age, but seem to complain they can never find one. Or that all the good ones was taken.
Want to guess when all the good men was taken?
Want to quess why the ones that are left don't seem interested?
I run into that now. A lot of women I have know over the years around here are now making advances or showing interest. These same women use to think that they was to young at heart or looked to young to date me back then. The young playboys beckoned.
From a personal viewpoint, I want my partner someone that I can be proud of, someone I can call my own with pride. I want to be proud to call her my wife.
Not someone well known physically by most of the, Now, middle aged men in my community.
Not someone that other men want to tell me how "athletic" she use to be.
How many men have I hear say "Would you believe I use to go out with that? Of course she looked a lot better back then."
It may not be fair, but it is real life.

Gosh i have never been into going into bars, or running around town. maybe i missed something. i guess i was just to busy with horse and dog rescue. very few men are in animal rescue, all women. Why is that? guess i was looking in the wrong place for men. all i cared about was saving the animals. people do know of me that i don't even know, because of all my animal rescue. now i stay home with my dog, watch the rain come down, and hope i did a little good some place.

To be honest I have found just the opposite to be true. I can not seem to find a woman close to my age that can keep up with me. Even women ten years younger want to do sedate things or want to sit at home most of the time. Shopping, they have no problem with, but put them in a canoe, on a horse, or under a backpack and they never last more then about a hour, forget a all day or weekend trip. Lets face it women just age much faster then men. I work construction and live in a farming community. I look around and see men that work hard all day, are in great shape, intelligence and have a great sense of humor. A lot of them are over 50.
I see women's profiles all the time wanting this perfect man. They want him fit with a full head of hair, all his teeth, a good job, under 50, etc. But what are they bringing to the table? I hear a lot of women complain about not finding a man, but they mostly have unrealistic expectations and don't have much to contribute to the relationship. Reguardless of what you read, BBW is not a desireable trait to most men. Take the time to pass Micky D's and eat an apple at home.
If you believe that "men 15 to 20 yrs younger appreciate what an older women can teach them about women." Then you are reading too many romance novels. I dated older women when I was younger. Why?...because they was easy. How many of those younger men stick around? Older men are mostly looking for a long term relationship, younger men are mostly looking for fun.
I find younger women more willing to take risk, more open minded, brighter and quicker minded then most women my own age. Most women my age are not interested in having a small child around. Younger women seem to enjoy children more and seem to have more patients with them and delight in the joys of youth. I would enjoy having someone my age around to understand my generation, the way I think, and remember the thinks we grew up with. But from what I see out there right now, it does not seem to be a feasible option.
I was at a local street dance last night, a couple of the older women that chase those younger men was there. They both got taken home by a younger man. I would expect both of them woke up this morning alone. I will hear them brag again about how they like younger men and was able to pick up one at the dance last night. I will hear them complain about not being able to find a good man. Good men don't pick up easy women at dances. Just us old wh*re hounds do that...LOL

My experience I've had more guys under 40 and some as young as in their late 20s trying to hook up with me and I am just not interested. I don't mind a few years, that isn't a big deal but come on, too much age difference and you run into problems. My ex was 3 years younger than me, and I will never go younger again. Women date younger men because they think thats all men want is younger women so they are trying to be like us.
Of course this too can backfire just like wanting to work as hard as men have had to now has raised the incidents of women having heart attacks.
I cant blame cat if she wants some young hard toy thats warmer than the everyday b.o.b and there isnt a man here that would turn down a twenty yr old hard body that just wanted to please you and get with no trauma.
I will never date anyone under 30 again because mentally they are screwed up still. Do not know who or what they are or want and personally I had enough of that in high school.
Once a woman reaches an age were pregnancy isnt an issue weighing on her mind and she finally gets past some of the worrying about what others think stuff as well, I have found thats when they really begin to understand and enjoy sex. many women never really have an orgasm until they are older and then all bets are off look out even the chippendales can get hurt then.
so kat take your toys as you find em and now and then when you want the fiddle played by a true musician someone who has studied the instrument and knows every curve intimately stop by the corner store for a refresher course. lol
