I think this attitude comes with age and acceptance of who you are as a person. I stay in shape and shower daily. blah blah blah...all that good stuff. I spice it up a little when going out, but only for me. That makes me feel good about myself. V2, you look great ..just do what makes you feel nice about yourself and others wiil see that confidence about you!

I guess I really did make this sound like it's about how I feel about myself. To a degree that's true. Right now I'm just doing the Holiday meltdown.
What really started this for me was listening to a couple of 20-something classmates of mine talking about anal bleaching the other day. I couldn't believe my ears! Brazilian waxes are bad enough but OMG, that was too much!
Why do we let ourselves be convinced that any of this is necessary?

Because we are constantly being bombarded with images of what we should look like...And no matter what we look like, someone will always says that there is still work to do...It is up to the individual to say "enough is enough"...

anal bleaching? That is a new one on me. So I looked it up. This is from Wikipedia.
Anal bleaching is the practice of bleaching the darker pigmentation of the skin of light-skinned people, around the anus. It is used for cosmetic purposes. A cream is used containing around 20% hydroquinone (a suspected carcinogen banned by several countries including France and the UK)[1][2][3][4][5] as an active ingredient.

I think that goes a little overboard myself.
I can hear it now. "Honey, I am out of anal bleach. Could you go to the store and pick me more up? I would but can't because I can't be in public without my anus bleached. What a faux pas that would be."

These were just two young women talking about.... well, you don't need details. Not porn stars. Not even better than average looking. But they felt that this was something they had to do in order to be "desirable women"!
I say again: 
The irony of them being college students bettering their minds is frightening.

I'm too old to be confused. I had a mastectomy 11 1/2 years ago and on December 23, 1996, I had reconstruction. My husband fought me on getting the reconstruction but it was something I did for ME - definitely not him. So to all those companies that want me to buy all their products - Screw you - I have a $50,000 boob!

hi,if you are comfortable with yourself i would'nt worry about what others think.I would just be myself.I know how you feel been there but,i have decided i know i have very good personal hygene and as long as i'm comfortable with myself thats all that counts.now when i meet someone and we click i will know he likes me for whom i really am not what they want me to be something i'm not.hope that helps ya.
