"JUST CHECKING IN"
A minister passing through his church In the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar And see who had come to pray.
Just then the back door opened, A man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw The man hadn't shaved in a while.
His shirt was kinda shabby And his coat was worn and frayed,
The man knelt, he bowed his head, Then rose and walked away.
In the days that followed, Each noon time came this chap, Each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch pail in his lap.
Well, the minister's suspicions grew, With robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him, 'What are you doing here?'
The old man said, he worked down the road. Lunch was half an hour. Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.
'I stay only moments, see, Because the factory is so far away;
As I kneel here talking to the Lord, This is kinda what I say:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.'
The minister feeling foolish, Told Jim, that was fine. He told the man he was welcome To come and pray just anytime
Time to go, Jim smiled, said 'Thanks.' He hurried to the door. The minister knelt at the altar, He'd never done it before.
His cold heart melted, warmed with love, And met with Jesus there. As the tears flowed, in his heart, He repeated old Jim's prayer:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.'
Past noon one day, the minister noticed That old Jim hadn't come.
As more days passed without Jim, He began to worry some.
At the factory, he asked about him, Learning he was ill.
The hospital staff was worried, But he'd given them a thrill.
The week that Jim was with them, Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious. Changed people, were his reward.
The head nurse couldn't understand Why Jim was so glad, When no flowers, calls or cards came, Not a visitor he had.
The minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse's concern: No friends came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.
Looking surprised, old Jim spoke Up and with a winsome smile; 'the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know,
That he's in here all the while
Everyday at noon He's here, A dear friend of mine, you see, He sits right down, takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY.'

I remember the day He took my sins away!!
Everything I try to accomplish, I ask His guidance and help. If it doesn't work out for some reason, then I know, it wasn't meant to.
A good friend told me yesterday, that if my "project" didn't work out, to put it behind me, and let it go, because I had done my best. Because she knows me, has known me all of our lives, and knows what the project is, and how badly I hurt and worry over it. So I am thinking, Maybe that was God speaking through her to stop. But not sure, so again, I'll put it before Him.

Isn't that a beauty.......just to sing your heart out with love? It doesn't matter if you're an opera singer or not.......just sing!!! I remember my kids telling me that they had wished that I read them books *word for word* and sing to them *I was petrified of my children's shame if they learn that I couldn't do it*..........so now I sing and read to my grandkids. They love it despite of your ability or not...........just SING!!!

I use to sing in the HS chorus.. one of the lead sopranos.. even chosen to do a solo, but I asked the teacher if she was wacked out on something NO way was I singing solo... any way, now I cant sing for chit, but what the heck, its fun. Drunks love me

Wrecker you are going to get thru this, I know that is hard to imagine now
you have a lot of us who are thinking about you and praying for you daily.
How many men have all these women thinking about them every day. We would
all show up but you live so far away but we are a phone call or an email
away. You are a strong person who has brought your children up alone and
that strength will help you now. I don't know about cars but just think of
your body that way. Your oil just needs an additive with the radiation and
chemo until it gets in the right area things will be rough just imagine it
killing all the bad cells and whipping their butts. Today is a better day and
you need to go out and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air. Leave an address or
number if you want you know this group doesn't sleep. Hang in there. Mary

Silly me mixed up my meds. Took my night pill in the afternoon so I tossed and turned all night.
Good morning cat! What a wonderful sunny, cool day it is here! Beautiful.
Going to shower, scrub down the bathroom, for some odd reason I love doing that. I'm so domestic, lol. Want to spray paint a wire planter I bought at a thrift store. Work on my shopping list for tomorrow. I going shopping all day tomorrow with my sister! Plus, she has a car and I can get more. I don't know if that is bad or good. Might go for a walk to keep my knees from getting stiff. I'm excitable today, can you tell?
I'll be popping in and out here.

Went for my morning walk and feel warm and happy! The snow storm here is over and now it is pouring. (rather have the snow)Took me until 10am to get the courage to face the rain and puddles. Put my boots on and splashed in the puddles! I'm soaked, my coat is now washed, no washing machine needed. No regrets!
BTW after 9 hours the doctor called. Said yes I have gallstones but doesn't think that they are gallstone attacks. Nice to be diagnosed when he never asked me what symptoms I have. Then he schedules me to see a surgeon?? Only way to see if it is gallstones is to have the gallbladder removed he says?? What? He doesn't think my problem is gallstones but wants me to have it removed? I don't think so!
Hi Shy, I know I am a few days late with this advice here, however you should go for a 2nd. opinion. There are ways to tell if it is gallstones; and ultrasound for one. I still have my gall bladder, however my daughter has had hers removes, and I have a couple of friends that have as well.
