SCREW the poll........
I lived the life of a R&R "star"....
Touring Lead Guitarist/Vocalist/Front Man.
A majority of that time I was married.... supporting my wife and daughter as well as could.
Opportunities were abundant..... but I never.... EVER.... cheated on my wife.
Only came close once.... and that was with a near and dear friend (of my wife too)
The situation called for me to console a friend... damn.... a very HOT female friend.... she was willing... but I just couldn't go there.
This situation happened at a hotel (Cathy worked there) about an hour from my house.... on the tail end of a major US tour that took me from VA to CA and back about 3 times in a year.
I couldn't go there.... couldn't do that.
In retrospect..... I should have.
While I was turning down one of the most gorgeous/sexy/beautiful/intelligent ladies I've ever met in my life..... My (then) wife was having an affair with my violinist's brother.
(and if anyone cares to listen.... my violinist was a female that tried her BEST to get me to have sex with her)
But I couldn't cheat on my wife.... that's just wrong and there is no gray area involved.
But allow me to digress...
I've been married twice in my life.
Was never formally engaged to either of my wives.
(NEVER cheated on either of my wives)
But I WAS formally engaged once.
OMG.... sexually compatible aint the word
Not sure if combatible is the word but all I know it was very hard to keep up with her sexual appetite..... but I did.
AND I DID.
I complained to my friends about her appetite.... and they faked tears and wished they had the same "problem"
(I'm talking 2 or 3 times on workdays..... forget Sundays..... be really afraid to ask about Sundays)
BUT.... something in me said I needed MORE
And I guess I did need more.
I cheated on her regularly... I cheated on her every weekend with a different woman for over a year and never got caught.
Well.... the black and red leather Tux was made.... so was the cream chiffon wedding dress.... the gothic church was booked and the invitations were sent out.
But the wedding never happened.
Why?
Because I caught her cheating on ME.
She swore it was the only time and it would never happen again.
I dropped her ass like a bad habit and haven't spoken to her since
(yeah yeah yeah.... double standard.... STFU)
The answer is.... who cheats more??
Cheaters cheat more.
Cheaters are defined by situations, morality and opportunity..... doesn't matter if they're male or female.
By nature.... I KNOW I'm not a cheater.... but yet I have cheated.
(but never when I was married)
Guess my personal account on all of this is about as clear as mud.... but it's accurate

Wow, another Man vs. Womem post. What a surprise the women think the men cheat more and the men think the women cheat more.
ANYONE is capabile of doing anything at anytime based on how connected they are with themself's and what they beleive in. I've see men and women do some of the most stupid, hanius, outrages, immoral things. Sex doesn't matter. It's what you beleive that really dictates how you act.

You can't really say Guys do or Ladies do, but 22% of all people in a relationship, cheat. If you think I am making that number up, Nope, he is a website that did a pole and research on the topic.

I think women and men both cheat just the same. Women cheat for different reason than men, but still have to do with attraction.
Women cheat because they lost the attraction for her man because he no longer is a challange for her anymore, and she wants to find someone who will give her that challange again that she's attracted to.
Men cheat because they are not attracted either, but because of the fact either the woman let herself go, or became psycho, or too dominant (or too distant) in the relationship.

I think people are inclined to cheat *when they are not getting their needs met*.
People like challenge, and become bored with door mat people that they can walk on.
They need stimulation of thought. Sad but true the 7 year itch cycle has now
been replaced to reflect a 3 to 4 year cycle.
People need to keep growing...when you are green you are growing,
when you are red you are rotting....which would you be attracted to in life?
Keeping the attraction is the key...keep yourself well groomed, and attractive.
Take nothing for granted...including your relationship. Anything worth having is worth keeping the maintenance up.
Keep dating each other, in a relationship...courting is what brought you together...
and lack of it will send you in another direction, again, looking for the same scent of happiness.
Walk the walk, and talk the talk...grow with each other.

Of the people I know, women cheat more than men. That doesn't mean others won't have the opposite experience, but I have to vote the way I've seen in my sheltered part of the world.

Well I think its got to do with how you feel about your partner and if you are satisfied with them cause everyone is tempted but who has to do it who is the weakest link we both are .... women cheat as much as men do ..but then there are men that are faithful and there are women that are faithful ,,,

You can't really say people cheat because they are no longer attracted to the other person, they is a stereo type.. People cheat for many reasons.
Men and Woman cheat for many of the same reasons.
The pole does not tell all about who is cheating more. It means just more people think they do.
People Cheat. Guya and Ladies alike. They do not have a totally different set of rules and guidelines as to why each sex cheats.
They do because they are a$$holes and think they can get away with it.
I hear about so many people who get cheated on and they take the person back, thihking they will change.
In my opinion, If you let someone get away with cheating on you once, They will almost always do it again because they got away with it the first time.
