What the Hell are you people talking about? I do not give my love until it is earned. I do not give out my hate .....till it is earned. When earned it is permanent.

IMHO - Love and hate are emotions......so there is a line but not fine......
the opposite of love is not hate it is INDIFFERENCE!!!
When someone is indifferent towards you there are NO emotions!

Exactly right girl! Until someone justifies a reaction beyond common courtesy....Why should they evoke an emotion. Love is EARNED. Hate is EARNED. Until then we should all just hang out and see who is cool and who is not. Kharma is just one of those thing you bring upon yourself.............I have good Kharma.

Good Kharma! Good boy! Woof, Woof!! That's a good kharma! Now sit! Roll over! Beg! LMFAO!!
I learned this lesson in a very unpleasant way. It was my ex who Loved me then became
totally Indifferent! Couldn't care less about me, my feelings, my life, my existence!
Strange though, because now that we are finalizing the divorce he IS showing Hate!
So it took him leaving me, abandoning his family, and living a free and irresponsible life to bring on emoitions?!!!
I just don't get it!!!

Ltr - For some it is the chase. My ex was the most spontanious, fun, considerate, person while we were dating. Gave me anything I needed or could have wanted. We would take off on road trips "just because", we were always doing something, then we got married. The day we got married I no longer was the girlfriend, now I was the wife. Game Over!! Everything changed, I was put on a shelf while he went to look for a new toy to play with. Some are never happy with what they have, only with what they think they may want.

I have to agree with Copter and wildlove on this. It is a fine line and how a person perceives those emotions in their brain. As Copter said....
I know if I am that interested in someone and dedicate myself to that relationship then it can be very painful to let it go.

I don't understand that fine line. If I couldn't make a relationship with someone doesn't mean I would hate them. I could hate someone without ever having loved them.
The only correlation I see is they are the most intense emotions we have.
Rather than adding another post just adding to this one.
I have been rejected many times but my hate is reserved for more than that.

Rejection instills the hatred. Feeling cast aside or unappreciated does not create apathy.

I believe you can love someone but hate what they do. You can love someone but hate what they if they are bad people. Some people love their kids and hate them at the same time.
