The restaurant is special and is still there, I'd like to meet someone worth while repeating. This was more than a date - it was a planned operation...lol

A romantic date is a warm fireplace, good wine, soft mood music, candles and beautiful eyes of an attractive lady!!!!!!

I think romance can happen anytime if you're with the right person. Sure the flowers and dinner is nice but there's something to be said for spontenaity. Some of my favorite times have been spent staying up all night getting to know someone...talking and making out!!!! Just connecting mentally and physically! grrrr

Funny you should ask.....I just had one!
He took me out to dinner (he drove - and paid!!)
He taught me how to make beer
He danced with me for hours (sometimes naked even)
He touched me every chance he got
Mmmbaby. I really like him.
Probably means he'll lose interest quickly.......but it was awesome while it lasted!!

It sounds like you're just picking bad boys. Try a dorky guy or even join a singles group at
a large church...someone who'll take you out for dinner...now 54 year old guys REALLY know how to treat a woman...wink wink...
Dinner and dancing...sailboatlady is funny...but really it is pretty cool to walk on a beach at night with he waves crashing.

awwww thanx moore. but sad to say it is true. them men i chose want to skip all the romance and go straight to the bedroom. so they skip the romance i skip the bedroom then they get mad and i dont hear back from them lol oh well. plus being a single mother i am afraid to date. how do i know hes not a pervert or a child molester. its hard to tell these days. this world is getting so horrible. i have pretty much given up on finding someone.

A nice drive out in the country, fishing gear packed and a generous picnic basket. Some creek and river fishing for trout in my canoe. A stop over for lunch from the picnic basket. Some more fishing until sunset then a campfire and fresh trout for supper. Music and talking in each others arms, with a blanket for warmth of course. Then back to town, a goodnight kiss, and a parting of ways. A telephone call to end the evening. Plans for an outing to pick berries, wildflowers, stones, catch insects and take pictures in nature and some swimming, oh yeah and some more fishing.

A romantic dinner is when they cook and frett over the little things and them trying to pick out the best suited wine for the dinner they just made and not out of a box. lol . Oh ya no kids around. I dont think you have to go out to for it to be romantic.

The key issue to a romantic date is time together to explore each other's inner self, without the distractions brought on by the environmental pressures of other people. Kindness, and thoughtful actions reciprocated both ways and lots and lots of communication. Money should not factor into this as we are not purchasing anyone, but obviously some money must be spent as nothing we do is truly free. Just keep the money to a minimum, as it tends to blur the boundaries or create confusion. For the woman who has my heart if I were to try to spend what she is worth to me, I would need to have at hand every last cent I will ever make on this planet, to justify her worth to myself. I feel that I would better represent my intentions with my heart, which has infinite resources as compared to money which no matter how much I could spend is limited. Simplicity has a way of becoming the perfect back-drop rather than becoming the glamorous and often blinding lights of an intricate stage. I want both of us to feel at home as much as possible, and free to express ourselves in the most honest and innocent of ways.
Dinner at a restaurant has other peope to make you self conscious or aware of the noises and situations around you. Dinner at home or at a picnic is quality time together.
A movie at a theatre is set in stone, no breaks and crowded seating. No pauses and a bit stifling. A movie at home is more interpersonal.
You only have one chance to make a first impression and say who you really are, why have other sounds, people, or events take some of your valuable time away to express this?
