If you learned someone you were dating was an extreme slob when it comes to housekeeping, would you continue to date them? 
This is not about me.  My overall housecleaning philosophy is that my house stay within 10 to 15 minutes of clean at all times. If someone calls and says they are on their way over, it takes me no longer than 10 to 15 minutes to make the house presentable.

it depends. if theres a few young children, its almost expected to be cluttered. but if theres a pile of dishes, a ring around the tub, clothes everywhere, etc...yeah, thats disgusting. im a clean freak, thanks to the army. there has to be some kind of order in the house. this is a common sight with single moms that spend all their time working, then when they get home, plant their a** in front of the computer and dont clean shit....

If we're talking extreme like those hoarder shows, or lot's of dust, bugs etc, I ain't going for it. I would split quick!
Clutter or disorganized is one thing, funk, and or total slob is another. Tends to coincide with mental state in most instances.

I'm very anal about my house and always cleaning. If they were just messy I would clean it up ( I love to clean and organize things) but if they were like the people on the show Hoarders then no way!

That would be a deal breaker for me. I can't stand a slob. My house does get pretty messy when I am in the midst of gutting and rebuilding a room. You are just pissing into the wind when you try to clean up the rest of the house before you are finished making dust. I also tend to let things stack up a bit in other areas because all of my energies are concentrated on getting the renovation completed so that I can stop living in the mess.

My home has a lived in look, a couple kids barely out of their teens and now a 2 1/2 year old grand daughter running around. I wouldn`t suggest eating off the floor, but the kitchen table is safe!

then your really put ome serious restrictions
on yourselfe.It seems the older I get the harder it
is to find someone that I click with and really
try not to add all these restrictions

Nice answer Windy but I'm not just referring to messy. I'm talking, hoarder type home environment. Messy, I can help with that. Hoarder, dump trucks wouldn't be enough for me to live with.

But I also think that hoarding has become
a serious issue with some people
knowing my personnality I would do my best
to try and help this person with this issue
maybe they need a little encouragement self confidence
to get back on track.....

I am pretty middle of the road...I want things clean but a little clutter doesn't bother me. I live with my grown daughter and 10 yr old grandson a a huge dog so....it's rarely military neat and orderly. I have dated slobs and neat freaks. Neither is a deal breaker but neither is something I would look for. Hoarder level on the clutter would be a huge red flag. Those people are crazier than I am.
