I'd appreciate help with this.
My computer seems to be working fine except for the "blue box" in the middle of my screen that says (in all captial letters) INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE. I have two monitors running. The biggest problem is there is no place to shut this "blue box" down. When a window pops up to ask if I want to save something, I can't even click save because it's under my "blue box" message. I've tryed to restart the computer and have unpluged and repluged everything. I know very little about the computer and would greatly appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Diane
PS... The "blue box" message is only on my main monitor screen.

I would need more information regarding what tyoe of monitor and the video card driving it, but I wwould say that the resolution settings for that monitor is not supported by the monitor.

Never encountered that one, but I do agree about the monitor resolution.

Agree with the resolution setting as the culprit here.

Yup. In my experience that message is generated in the monitor itself. I've seen it on multisync monitors. The resolution is probably set too high for that monitor. If you disconnect the signal input to the monitor, you might see a similar box which says, "no signal." If so, that message is definitely generated within the monitor.

Either the refresh rate or the resolution is set to high for the monitor. You might be able to fix it my booting in safe mode and then changing it. The other solution is to hook it up to another/better monitor and then reducing the setting
