If i am going to be HONEST i will say i am very vain when it comes to dating....I like a HOT man with muscles i do.Its not that easy to change......I'm attracted to looks 1st.....so basically i'm screwed cause all the HOT guys i like....... like 25 yr olds........not 39 yr olds with kids!!!!

Life is sometimes also based on compromise...**we are not what we were, when we were in our
20's.** Most guys in your age, are going to have children... they are there for ever, and always...that is part of their package deal.
Now for the muscles...have you tried hanging at the local gyms, working out and having a beverage afterwards? You can often get a free one week trial, and test the waters to see who catches your eye. Sports bars? Hooters? Great looking guys like to hang out where there are great looking women.
Plan a trip with a gal-friend for white water rafting, or scuba diving, or a Caribbean place where you do the work on a boat...takes ship hands as part of the fun.
Good luck....you might find him on DH also!

Hi Lisa,
I've been here on DH for a few months now, and at first, I just jumped right in and started having a little fun. I quickly took a step back, and started looking a little deeper into what I'm searching for. I've put my priorities back to where I need them, and I'm feeling more comfortable with myself, and my actions and responses.
It's not that hard to find someone that's pretty cool, just to talk to and be friends with, especially here on DH; I've met some very "awsome" people here so far. To find someone with whom you would like to spend your "life" with ?; well that is totally different. I believe you have to really look deep inside of your heart, and figure out first, exactly what you can deal with, and what you "can't" deal, and what you might can "compromise" on, when it comes to a "life" partner.
You are going to find some who fits your criteria in many ways, yet keep in mind that "LIFE" is (positive)-AND-(negative),(good)-AND-(bad),(up)-AND(down); That's the way it has to be,,, to "BE", therefore, with "whoever" you find that you might would like to allow a chance to share your life with, is "going to have" SOMETHING about them that you might not like. Then comes the decision of: " Can I live with that" ?
You can say YES, NO, Or Maybe.
If you're looking for "perfection" ? You might want to try the next life, depending on your personal belief, but I seriously doubt that you will find it there either; "my" belief is that position has been "reserved" by our CREATOR.
I'm seriously "not" trying to "bash" you Lisa, and I'm sorry if I have offended "anyone", but I've looked, I've watched, and I've listened, to a lot of people communicating on several sights, and I see a lot, ( not everyone) but a larger majority are looking for someone who is: (maybe not EXACTLY perfect) but who is "so close to perfect", that they are trying to find a grain of sand, in a giant sand pile. It might be just "me", but that's "crazy"; because as you look so hard to "find" that "grain of sand", the months, and years, just keep right on ticking away, tick-tock, tick-tock.....
Smile though, You are a beautiful Lady; it shouldn't take you too long to find who you're looking for. I wish you the best of blessings on your search.

Lisa, that is ok, but you may be missing out on something. you may be getting hurt as a result. please try to focus on whats inside. i meet the nicest people that may not be model's, but this world without them could be very cruel. you could be hurting a lot of people's feelings as well, doesn't that concern you at all?

I never HURT anyones feelings...If someone asks me out that I'm NOT physically attracted to i say thanks but no thanks and leave it at that....I don't dis them and say oh sorry i won't go out with you because you look like a sewar rat.......
I like a nice looking guy period.....If i get one than that will be amazing if i don't than its all on me for being so anal and picky.....
Like i said before i've always been vain with the guys i date and thats just me....
I see with my eyes 1st....the looks pull me in withoit a doubt but in the long run it will be the heart that keeps me.
