ok..so this question goes out to everyone that is snowbound and in the colder parts of the country.Just reading some posts today and seeing people starting to get frustrated here and wondering if they will ever meet someone.I am wondering if we get too cooped up in the winter and maybe want someone in our lives more then ever.I know now I sit in front of the computer longer and think of what I really want.Hunting seasons are all over and fishing season hasnt really started yet to keep my mind from wandering and wishing I had someone more. When I was married my wife used to tell me every winter she was going to send me to SouthAmerica to get rid of my miserable ass..that I went thru a winter withdraw or something. So I know come spring and summer i will be outdoors more doing stuff and traveling and fishing and that keeps my mind off of being alone.Of course it would be great to have someone to share all that with too...so what are your thoughts...Bock

YES!! It doesn't bother me to be single most of the time but it's been so cold and dreary I'm not getting out as much. The first week or so of March I'll start to get more energy because I'm outside all the time. Bock, you might have seasonal affective disorder. I bought a light box this year and I sit in front of it 30 minutes in the morning while I'm having my coffee. It cuts of melatonin and increases seratonin and I think it has helped with my "winter blues". Still, I sure would like to have someone to snuggle with!

I think we all get tired of the winter season and being cooped up. I am an outside person this being inside because it is so freakin cold drives me absolutely crazy. Yes I think we tend to get "lonlier" in the winter because of that and the lack of sunshine. Come spring and summer, I spend all of my time at the softball fields with my friends drinking beer and playing ball, they are my substitute for the lack of someone in my life. And weekend, let's go to the lake fishing and campin, of course unless there is a softball tourney around. Just remember all, SPRING will be here soon!!!!

Move to someplace warm in winter....like SC
It was 80 degrees here yesterday..a record for February.
Come July and August though...watch out you don't burn your
buns here!!!
Even so...being out and all...its still lonely when you
don't have someone..there is no perfect place I guess.

WOW! I can sit in front of a light box for 30 min a day and that will cure me of the desire to have a guy wrap his arms around me? Where do they sell these interesting boxes?

Bocky, when you get yours maybe I should sit with you to try it out.

@ bucktail! I'm going to climb up on your shoulders again if you aren't careful.

Windchill here is 18, STILL snowing.

its in the 60s here today but looks like rain later tonite..and thats the way it has been this year..a few nice days and then cold and rain, not much snow.

I have 2 freinds that moved to the West Coast of Fla 2 years ago because they couldnt stand being cooped up all winter and hated the cold..lol..they lasted only 8 months in Fla...said it was too damn hot..moved to North Carolina last year.

I just started a really good job last year and moving isnt much of an option right now.But I could always apply at another college...hmmmm

country you can share my light box anytime

I will take you up on that!!!

I too thought about Florida or Texas, but don't quite want THAT much heat. I have been thinking about somewhere a little farther north like Virginia, but not much farther than that if I move.

I just started a new job too! I love the job; hate the wind and bitter cold.

West MI is probably the next in line to Alaska for dark days...Ok I don't know that for sure but we haven't seen the sun in like over a week. Maybe 2 hours. Right now we are getting pounded with a nice storm. I hate it. Sniff. Someone come to da eyelannnds weeth meeeee!
