There is a true love
I sit quietly in my home
Sad, afraid and alone
Yearning for true love
Soft and gentle as a dove
I had a love, but it is gone
Has not been all that long
I miss the warmth, the carress
Her lovingly arms across my chest
I seek her lovingly embrace
I feel my heart begin to race
Her kiss, her look and her touch
Makes me feel loved so much
Hers is lost, no more around
From my loss, my head does pound
The time has come to carry on
My heart seeks its new song
So for now I may be alone
As I sit quietly in my home
Somewhere out there in this town
Is a new love waiting to be found
I met her once, quick and sweet
A pleasure it was for me to meet
Her soft eyes did glow bright
I knew that it was so right
I hope that it all works out
If it does, my heart will shout
Joy and laughter I will bring
Your heart and mine will sing
I pray that we can make it last
Forget our troubles and the past
Live our lifes with without a tear
No more worries, and no more fears
Our love can grow strong and true
Just know, I can always love you
Your so soft and gentle as a dove
Yes, there is a true love.

Valentine in the Past
One day a year I cherish and set aside
To show my heart from the inside
To a special someone you my Dove
Every day I see you as my bride
Spend your years at my side my Love
Many boxes of chocolate I give my wife
So many card of love we will share
Ever unfolding days in our ancient lives
Through decade upon decade our secrets bare
When finally the day will come this day set aside
When our children have grown and theirs also
Our hearts will still sing together
Of our love for Each other it was never a test
It was just meant to be forever
We will sleep side by side now in loving rest

If I Were Her Lover
I
If I were her lover,
I'd wade through the clover
Over the fields before
The gate that leads to her door;
Over the meadows,
To wait, 'mid the shadows,
The shadows that circle her door,
For the heart of my heart and more.
And there in the clover
Close by her,
Over and over
I'd sigh her:
"Your eyes are as brown
As the Night's, looking down
On waters that sleep
With the moon in their deep" . . .
If I were her lover to sigh her.
II
If I were her lover,
I'd wade through the clover
Over the fields before
The lane that leads to her door;
I'd wait, 'mid the thickets,
Or there by the pickets,
White pickets that fence in her door,
For the life of my life and more.
I'd lean in the clover—
The crisper
For the dews that are over—
And whisper:
"Your lips are as rare
As the dewberries there,
As ripe and as red,
On the honey-dew fed" . . .
If I were her lover to whisper.
III
If I were her lover,
I'd wade through the clover
Over the field before
The pathway that leads to her door;
And watch, in the twinkle
Of stars that sprinkle
The paradise over her door,
For the soul of my soul and more.
And there in the clover
I'd reach her;
And over and over
I'd teach her—
A love without sighs,
Of laughterful eyes,
That reckoned each second
The pause of a kiss,
A kiss and . . . that is
If I were her lover to teach her.

Valentines Day?
You’ve got to be kidding?
Created by hallmark
Or so it’s been written
A day from a hat
Imagine that
Supposed to profess
My love and no less?
Valentines Day?
You’ve got to be kidding?
Spending on you
To show I am smitten?
Watch the commercials
They‘re not what it seems?
If that’s what you want
Let it stay in your dreams
Valentines Day?
You’ve got to be kidding?
If I don’t buy a diamond
The road you’ll be hitting?
How about if instead
I just follow my bliss
And show you my love
Everyday with a kiss

"A Tail of Love"
The sadness is back its filled with darkness,
Were is the wonders and dreams of my Heart gone ?
What have I done?
Am i to remain here alone in emptyness?
Is this what life is to be?
Will the wonders of love return?
Am I to walk in darkness sealed in a mask of iron?
To be hidden from the sounds and scent of love?
To be hidden from her gentle kiss?
To never hold her or to here those tender words spoken from the heart,
Unable to see or feel the smile that holds you like a lover,
Unable to once again feel that embrace that holds you
so tight but yet so gentle that togeather you know that
only in the hands of "God" could such a love exist.
An only there can the words so soft and tender be spoken,
and with just a whisper yet heard with thunder! thru eternity
these words I will love and honor you through out time,
I will wait for you at Heaven's Gate's
for my last words to you on earth,
will be my first words in heaven
I love you I will always love you.
Because my love for you is unconditional
and for ever and ever, and when day comes
it start all over again and again,
I love you and I know you love me
because our love is love without end!

"Heartfealt"
I know you told me from the start
that there was to be no feelings from the heart.
I thought i could handle it; i thought i knew:
but each time you held me, the fellings just grew.
As i sit here in my window gazeing at the sunset on
the lake, i can feel the warmth of your breath on my
body for me it does partake! You showed me a love that
felt so real and so warm, that i could never forget you
not even after the storm. You did take a part of me that
i can never replace; but don't you worry. It is all ok now
because i have God's grace.
bye:me

In times in need,
but who should care,
If anyone,
In the world out there.
In times of hurt,
but who shall weep,
only ones who have driven,
the nail too deep.
In times in love,
but who should give,
only ones that know how,
and want to live.
In times of friendship,
but only I will say,
yall are gods greatness,
and happy valentines day.

Just Me
Not writing for you has been so hard
Dampening what should be expressed
Like throwing a wet rag on a hot stove
Ready to cook with fire, still releasing heat
Transferring heat into what appears to be cool
It is hard to keep a distance
Especially when I see so much
I am not full of feminine delusion
My wisdom is seldom witnessed
Hiding, waiting, passing time
Hungry for more
Being true to myself
Knowing how deep it all runs
Does anyone get me?
It seems like so many want to
They’re not you
I don’t even bother
Why settle for less?
I am patient, I am kind
I am not jealous, I do not envy
I long for what I know is the very best
I have been given a peace that I long to share
But this waiting is trying
It stirs me
I held back so much of me
Afraid of what you would think
The wild expression that lingers just below the surface
It’s like the wet cloth and the hot stove.
I lay there and steam, hot to the touch
I know my passion is too much
I know my stamina is wearing
I have tried so hard to hide it
Holding back a fiery heat
When all I have wanted to do is explode
So I slow down
Mellow me lingering about
Wondering if you know this is no crush
You are the best…the best is worth waiting for
I keep myself in check, building , being friend
But I know, I know that to have lived life
Holding something real in ones heart and mind
For someone as wonderful and fulfilling as you
Is far better than to waste my time
trying on shoes that I never intend to walk in.
I’m just a baby girl who’s wisdom and gentle ways
Are as enduring as evenings star.
Shining and trying to just blend in
Faithful and loving, courageous and soulful
Just a simple Irish girl, with a little Celtic heart
A given Italian name that is “sweet like honey”
Maybe this means nothing, but you should know
This natural woman, who’s heart is not easily surrendered
Joy is stored ,
Know that you are treasured
I Will never let you down.

Hope
The whole world laughs at me
Because I hope for things that may never be.
I pray for long summer nights
Perfect for making love until daylight.
I hope for puppies that never grow old
And campfires that don't grow cold.
Children who won't lose their innocence
Or their knack for enjoying every sense.
I look for sun in the grayest skies
And hope in the saddest eyes.
I know it is beneath the veneer
That tiny spark which will lead to cheer.
After all, there are stars in the dark skies
And the sun will daily rise.
The tide will always recede
And sometimes a loser will succeed.
I will continue to look for good
As I believe everyone should.
The world will spin on and on
Bringing with it each new dawn.

A Reason For Loving You
Meeting you has given to me
a new understanding of what I see.
I had often thought myself a dinosaur
aged, afflicted with things you would abhor. . .
But to be viewed by you and comprehended
as desirable, commended and even befriended. . .
Overwhelmes me, humbles me but elicits love that’s true
and pure, flowing from my heart - a reason for loving you!
On this day and every day, you are my Valentine. . .
my confidante, my beloved who lifts me to places divine.
You have healed my soul as with a surgical knife,
and given me a reason for loving you and for loving life!

Flowers, chocolates, diamonds, and rings
Pretty bows on frilly things
I want to say it loud and clear
Don't buy me a single thing this year
I've thought it out and now I know
How I want my day to go
As we wake in our warm bed
My eyes will open, I'll turn my head
I'll see your face in dawn's grey light
Still beside me after last night
A peaceful moment just watching you
As grey brightens to a warmer hue
Your eyelids flicker and slowly lift
Your smile now becomes my gift
I never needed ribbons or bows
Nor diamonds, nor flowers, nor fancy prose
I only needed you to say
You loved me each and every day
