"The death of love,The birth of loves memories"

There's pain and emptyness, A feeling of being incomplete,an
over whelming lost, my arms I cannot lift my legs will not move,
My heart is still like the waters of a lake, with a single ripple
moving slowly to shore to leave the lake in a dead calm. How do I get
past this when all seems lost "Dear God" help me to see help me to remember.

The softness of her skin, The smell of her hair, the gentleness of
her voice, the smile that gave meaning to my life when two souls
become one and shared the journey through time together.
The moon lite walks, the quit talks,A smile that could turn and argement
into apple pie and home made ice cream. The holidays especially Christmas
she always had to have a real Christmas tree, the smell of pine an misoltoe,
The Dinner smells of turkey, and homemade bread and her making snow angels
in the snow, with snowflakes on her eyelashes given me butterfly kisses
that made me tingle inside.

I remember a summers night on the porch swing listen to the crickets,
and the lonely call of the loons on the lake. The moon was full it
seemed to cause her hair to take on a glow like spum silver as
if "God" was telling me that she was being chosen to be a special
Angel. She was then and now and will always be my true love and
my true north. In life she gave me unconditional love and now through
her memories she has shown me how to go on and live life.

So with rainbows and lollipops and the promise to her to show our
little Angel, butterfly kisses and unconditional love. So to her I
well send butterfly kisses and I'll see you when my journey is through.
forever my Love

My Wish
I see her across a crowded room
my heart ceases to beat
enamored by her beauty
I sway on leaden feet

My throat constricts
my breath becomes gasps
my knees have become weak
I struggle to remain upright
as her beauty my eyes do drink

She smiles and the room lights up
illuminated by her grin
matched by the sparkle in her eyes
fired by the intelligence within

She sees me and gives me a nod
a soft wink and a smile
and starts to stroll across to me
showing charm and grace and style

other eyes follow this woman
as across the room she strolls
to have her give her love to me
I would pay any toll

She walks up and puts her arms
softly around my neck
and whispering hello lover
she gives me a gentle peck

I can’t wait to get you home
she murmurs in my ear
and slides my hands from her waist
down unto her rear

I wonder what I did right
to win the heart of this honey
when I have not the world’s possession's
nor a whole lot of money

every day when I wake up
next to my lady love
I say a prayer of thanks
up to the lord above

We’ve been together many years
but it always seems new and fresh
and when I spend any time with her
I know I have been blessed

I know she feels the same way too
She often tells me so
and as the days and years go by
our love just grows and grows

I wish to find this woman
who can fulfill my hopes and dreams
and end this solitude
that sometimes makes me want to scream

I continue looking for her
despite the rejections and false praise
for I know that if I can find her
our happiness will blaze

A light amongst the darkness
filling us both with delight
to share our trials and our joys
our days and then our nights

at times I’ll prob’ly make her mad
at times she may scream and shout
Sometimes shell make me more of a man
sometimes perhaps a lout

But life is a balance of good and bad
without the dark there would be no light
and although we are not perfect
we can make each other feel right

To appreciate that which is yours
to be inspired to be better
That is my wish for this woman
that soon I may just meet her

I long for the girl, I knew at school,
If only I had not, been such a fool,
For I was young, and could not see,
that she was the only, love for me.

We pass most day's , while I'm on route,
She smiles and waves, and gives me a toot,
My heart skips a beat, I think thats beaut,
Maybe she thinks, I'm still kind of cute.

30 years have past, since I held her close,
Her love for me, sadly is post,
But she's still the one, I love the most,
And with much regret, there will be no toast,
No bride, no groom, No holy ghost.

But maybe if, I send roses in time,
She might just be my Valentine!

"LIKE A DREAM"

Like a dream: We were standing face to face,

Like a dream:You were there and I was holding you close to me
and our hearts begain to rece,

Like a dream:Our lips met and the hole world stood in silent greace,

Like a dream:I was with you again and all our sorrow's and pain were gone,

Like a dream: Once again we shared that love that was lost,

Like a dream: once again that sparkle returned to your eyes
and my true north showed through,
"BUT THEN"
lIKE a dream:Silent was "Loves" touch in the night,Then
gone was my Love at moring's first light

teaurtei, you do know how to turn a phrase; you are very much a word warrior! I enjoyed every verse and rhyme, and your expressiveness is simply divine. Oh, that I were 25 years younger and a foil wrapped Valentine!
Thanks, for making my day!

May I sincerely say it was my pleasure, John.
I'm not sure I've ever been complimented in verse before.
Your own submission and those of others here are wonderful.

MY DREAM WOMAN

Her hair blows in the wind like wheat in the field,
She rushes to me with arms outstretched.

Her eyes are pools of garnet,
They look deep into my soul.

Her lips are soft and moist,
They taste of wine from the heavens.

Her tongue has milk and honey under it,
It entwines with mine, an embrace so sweet I shudder with delight.

Her neck is soft like silk from the east,
All men desire her, she is my love.

Her shoulders glisten like moonlight on a raven's back,
Their aroma is that of gardenia, I am entranced.

Her breasts are soft as down on a duckling,
They give me comfort and warmth.

Her hips are goblets of silver formed by cherubim,
With my strong hands I raise them to me.

Her valley of love drips with nectar for the gods,
My thirst cannot be quenched.

Her Ivory legs are pillars of wisdom and love,
I long for their crush.

Her feet I adore,
Because they brought her to me.

We love until the dawn,
We are one, we are complete.

Kisses like sweet wine stain his lips as he smirks at her....leaving a glistening shine in the moment of his smile.....
The feel of his breathe makes her heart skip a beat...as she arches her neck to recieve his tender lips.......
The silk slides across her skin.....anticipating....his next move

This is the last one Im writen this is the one I wrote to my father the day he past away.

" WHEN LOVE DOESN'T END"

HOW DO I SAY GOOD-BYE- To you,who gave me life,my smile,my walk?
you who showed me that it's OK for a man to cry when something hurts
inside and to laugh out loud when happiness and love fills you.

HOW DO I SAY GOOD-BYE- To you,who showed me how to find the good in everyone, and how to get past the bad,and how it's OK to be angry and mad as long as the end result is
forgiveness?

HOW DO I SAY GOOD-BYE- To someone who showed me how to forgive even when someone
you love unconditionally takes that love and tries to destroy it? Who takes
this most fragile of life's gifts to another and throws it away like dust
to the wind, and to give it back to them again and again, until they understand that
a father's,grandfather's or great-grandfather's love is unconditional and never
can be destroyed?

HOW DO I SAY GOOD-BYE-To you with hands of leather,a voice of stone, but
with just a touch of your hand could soothe the worst of pains and, with
just the sound of your voice, could stop all the hurt and replace it with love
and warmth and complete safety from harm. And in your arms not even the bitterest
cold could get through the warmth?

HOW DO I SAY GOOD-BYE?

I don't!I never will!I never will stop loving!I never will stop caring!I will
always love you, because I know our love is unconditional and for ever and ever,
and when day comes,it starts all over, again and again.

I LOVE YOU, DAD, and I know you love me,because our love is without end!

So Dad I'll see you later.
your son David

Because the men on here have totally, totally shocked me with some of these poems.
Seriously guys - It's not meant to put you down in any way at all, but i for one figured it would be mostly the ladies posting on this. Guys, there are some really good ones on here that i have read!!! Ladies too!!! Hell, i'm jelous! Just to be truthful i didn't know a man could have that in him. I guess i'v really had the losers or they just plain didn't love me.
