Elaine47...I know what you mean.
Over the past several months, I have found that there are many men out there who are very romantic...with poems, songs, expressing themselves emotionally...
It has been very surprising to me to discover this...and those men are delightful to find.

Sometime back once in November
By the light's last dying ember
I saw you standing there
Not a word between us spoken
Hearts whole, as yet unbroken
Sharing but a stare
As time passes and changing seasons
We lost touch, we lost reasons
Sometimes it wasn't fair
Then one day, without warning
As I sat in quiet mourning
I felt it in the air
Your fingers curled across my shoulder
Years have passed, we're both now older
So much we still could share
Your smile still reminds me
Of the love I knew so kindly
The first time I saw you there

DH VALENTINE
DH ladies are so fine
I can’t wait to get online
Wanting to heal my scard heart
Look at them all where do I start
Blondes, brunettes, and redheads
All posting on the DH threads
Some far away some are near
Is my valentine online here
We come to DH looking for love
Is it the pic below or the one above
Looking for a girl
opposite of my ex’s
What state does she live in
Indiana or Kentucky or maybe Texas
Yes the ladies on DH are so very fine
I wish they all could be my Valentine

My favorite so far was this one by heartfullofscars:

Now, a typical women response, because I feel like being sarcastic.
All in good fun. Do not include this in the judging, lol. By Me:
DH men are all so horny.
Some are sweet, but most are corny.
Wanting to get inside our pants,
They go on and on with their flirtatious rants
Hairy or bald (like Castertroy)
They act like they are still little boys.
Distance means nothing in our womanly eyes;
Just please act your age and not your shoe size.
Before coming on DH, please take time to think
Before skipping our profiles and proceeding to wink.
Why can’t we be like your ex’s? Oh brother!
So we can wait on you constantly? Do we look like your mother?
It doesn’t matter where you live, to us it’s all the same,
Just keep ignoring what we’re posting and go play video games…
Cause if you read what we’re posting, you won’t think we’re so fine.
We want love ALL year round, not just on Valentine’s.

To the ladies of DH,Come walk with me down life's path
well hold hands and stand side by side, not one in front,
nor one behind,we will talk of wondrous things some great
but more of the simple things,We will talk of walking bare foot
in the spring and of spring showers and flowers and of
other things. Like the birth of new things, that spring brings.
Then we will walk hand and hand into Summers new plan. We
will dance in the sun and play in the sand and as we walk
hand and hand we will make this promise to fullfill life's
simple plan the one between a woman and a man, and in the fall
we will watch the colors of time. The falling leaves and
especially the color changes between your hair and mine,
Now here we are at Thankgiving time giving thanks to your
friends and mine and for all the simple things that
we shared over time. As Winter comes with its snow and bitter cold
comes a new beginning to a promise once told an ever lasting
unconditional Love that through the Seasons and Time.
"WILL NEVER GROW OLD"
This one Dosen't count Happy Valentine's Day ladies

-------Lost Find Endured------
I observe that I’m acutely aware of life,
Its euphoric bliss to blazingly painful and strife.
Vividly ironic detail, and oh, so rife.
Seen, through this, would be my one wife.
I have tasted life’s worst, and it’s best.
There’s been no escaping that and the rest,
Its brilliantly shown to me, and with a zest.
The queen of my species I see in you dear.
The most exquisite song ever, ever I’ll hear.
That I am not able to hold you near,
Sear.
Though my heart has your nectar visited upon,
Solace in just knowin’ you, I will smile on.
Shyly

"My Last Thoughts"
When the day should come that I shall die... and if it were you to be that very special person I loved in my life to see a tear fall from my eye,
Then that is when you will know that you were the very last thing I saw in my mind.

Ok....I have given you the romance of a lover in "With you"
I have given you the aspect of friendship in a lover in "Just me"
Now I give you the lover
Effects of your brilliant mind
Tickle me deep
Down deep to your base
Let me swallow my itch
While you hold my face
Send me over the edge
And back again
Let me drink of our passion
Let me swallow our heat
Feel our vibration, profound and so deep
Let your voice be outspoken
As I lick every word
My mind screams our rhythm
Your aphrodisia is heard
Delicious sweet fingers run over my lips
My tongue seeks to savor each little drip
Roll over, Roll over, Roll over again
The scent of sweet honey rest on your chin
Flavor me now with the taste of our bliss
Sweet nectar of mine on the tip of your tongue
How long must I wait to taste our wet kiss ?
Your aromatic ways seep deep in my brain
Your brilliance is showering and making me wet
I’m drenched by your mind, saturated at best
Trembling and quivering and moaning and purring
Tingling and numbing from frenzy and furry
I collapse, exhausted, go limp and must sleep
Can you see how your mind in me runs so deep?
