Hey, this party started without me but WITH MY NAME...why didn't someone come get me?
I liked Jon's answer. I do it too (sizing ppl up and asking myself if this could be MR. Right), who doesn't? Or at least who doesn't that's looking eventually...as he said...we are on a dating site.
The quote from which he's refering had to do with someone who went from kissing me to saying "now wouldn't you like that for the rest of your life?" and MULTIPLE phrases like that in just one evening.
I guess I could have "laughed in his face" *thinking...."no, I couldn't, it's not my style, he was serious."
I think the difference was....he was not for me and he was leap years ahead of anything I would have considered him suitable for at that moment. Otherwise, he wasn't the one and I knew it even then. I just thought I'd give it more of a chance and see if things changed.
What do you do if you're with someone who's ready to jump off of the cliff (Butch Cassidy and the sundance Kid scene) but you haven't even decided if you're ready to climb the hill?

Let me just clarify.....there's a big difference between talking about what you want in a future marriage and the "someday" comments....than the first kiss is the beginning of forever...AND ONLY ONE SIDE FEELS IT

Here he is on a first date...."Ah, Cheri....let's kiss like this forever...Let's buy a home on the Chesapeake Bay...I have thought of nothing else since we met (30 minutes ago) Let's marry and raise two boys and three girls....How about it?
Ah...by the way....what is your name?"

When and only when it can be looked at as:
"You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
and let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow."
~Kahlil Gibran~
Probably next to impossible to find in today's society and world.

I do not think it as much a thing to find and a lifestyle to create with someone who has the same goals. some one who is going in the same direction in life is hard to find.

You talk of marriage,..and I'll just sit here and laugh. Talk about being together and I'll listen to every breath.
