Sadly, those that restrict a friendship due to the milage, could be passing up wonderful opportunities.
Romantically speaking or otherwise....anything is possible, anything could happen. At this point, I am not willing to relocate and I am clear on that, however, I would not a milage restriction when it comes to making new friends.

I kind of feel the same way. I have been on this for a week, and I have gotten winks from people who live far away. The few that have emailed me are just "chatting". I thought this was a place to meet people to date??? Oh! I forgot about the guy who emailed me hoping I would talk dirty to him! So far, I am a little disappointed.

I'm not sure what my distance limits would be. I just returned home Wed. afternoon from a 325 mile round trip to meet a woman that I met online. She had a 250 mile round trip.Because of snow we had to stay an extra night, but we had a very nice time and both enjoyed it. I guess the limit depends on the people.

Ladyinparis. Thats exactly my point. For friends distance doesn't matter. They're as close as the nearest computer. But for dating you have to be realistic. You are going to have to be able to meet regularly.
And if we lived closer I would have sent you an email !!

You could however it doesnt mean you wont get those mails from those far away.
btw..some do manage to work it out with someone out of state and or out of the USA.
I dont think a wink always means " I want you" a wink can be friendly enough to say hey youre cute..so relax and enjoy

The long distance relationship thing can be very frustrating, especially if you've meet someone that you really like. I guess that it depends on how patient you are. Personally, I am more ampt to talk to someone on a dating level who lives within a reasonable distance from me. However, it is fun to talk with people as friends who live far away. Different perspectives are nice.
