I had a 32' RV a few years back and loved it and may well head down that road after of a few years....but I'm too young yet to 'retire' that much.

Wow this is interesting I left 4 hrs ago and just got back and this thread is still going, shalah you must have hit a nerve with this post. And now it has turned to a discussion of traveling around the country. That is excatly what I have just started out to do. I told my employer I'm free to go whereever they had a job for me, they are a national company and have work all over the USA - and they sent me to NJ! But the next job may be anywhere. Anyone of you ladies thinking of traveling wantta come along? or

You know I started this thread and I dont care if people change it. Why would I wish to limit anyone from saying what ever that they wish to say? I figure since I started it and I dont care then no one else should care. I dont have a one track mind, dont figure anyone else does either.

I haven't read the other threads here,but what I wish to fill in my life is having a wonderful man-----someone to do things with-------someone who will sleep next to me---so I can get rid of my teddy bear---lmbo;
someone to hold me when I cry--someone to laugh with me when i laugh---Someone to share e very aspect of my life with me.
Hey there, where are ya?????

Shalah....I hope I didn't mess things up with my comments. Sure didn't mean to.
I just think...now...there's more to life and happiness than a 'relationship' ESPECIALLY at our age. Maybe I've been single too long. Maybe I'm too independent and that's part of the reason I'm single now. Who knows...and I'm too old to spin my wheels trying to figure out why I had such bad taste in men... Maybe I'm meant to be alone in this world. I wasn't born one of a twin so I came into this world alone so maybe that's the way I'm going to kick off.
I've just decided to set my sights on something "I" CAN control and that's my future. I don't have to worry whether someone finds me sexy or smart or good enough....as long as I pay my tab at the bar, I don't care what the bartender thinks of me. I'm going to do things so many only talk about. And, remember......HOME is where the HEART is.

PS: In fact, I've already contacted an antique dealer near Houston to come in and buy every antique I have, lock, stock and barrel.

Sorry if we got this post off topic, but I was going to throw this thought out in a new post but let me start it here. There was an earlier post about there being only 550 members and I was going to suggest a DHU meet-up. Since I'm new here what is other's opinion? Good idea or not? Does anybody think anybody would show up?

Sxyatsxty--- I know exactly what your saying. I decided a long time ago that I can't wait for "someone" special to come along and find me for me to be completely happy. I have so many things I want to do, I can't wait. Besides, while it sounds wonderful that there is "someone" for each of us, we have to face facts! And the facts are that throughout our whole life there has always been more males than females in the world so it stands to reason that some of us are not going to find Mr/Ms Someone Special.
Having said all that I know that joy and happiness shared is multiplied, and seeing that special smile on his face when he sees you is priceless. If it happens, wonderful! If it doesn't, my life goes on.

sxy you and I think allot alike. I have things that I want to do one being getting me a dog and trying to train it for search and rescue. I have always wanted to do that and so I am going to try and do it now. I understand where you are coming from. It isnt that you wouldnt accept a man if the right man comes along but you are not going to put your life on hold until he does. We are not getting any younger and life is to be lived and enjoyed in the best way we can. Why waste the time wishing waiting and hungering after someone that may not show up. The thing is we are perfectly fine as we are. We can live a happy life alone, not that we dont want a man it is just that we can go on and be happy.
What many dont understand is that if you are not happy there is no one and I mean no one that can make you happy. Happiness is a state of being within ones self. You find that within you and then you share that with another. God did not put anyone on this earth to make another person happy.

I think God put EVERYONE here on earth to make EVERYONE happy!
Isn't that the whole idea behind ''love one another?''
But in the same breath let me say that 'love' and 'making someone happy' both have to be mutually appreciated and requited.
One sided anything doesn't ever work, so it is up to all of us to care about one another's lives.
I can do that. I have done that. What hurts is when you are taken for some kind of sucker...
