I would appreciate some broad areas of compatibility... but, would also enjoy being surprised and educated by her diversity and differences... "variety" being the "spice of life"... for me...

NOPE! One of us would kill the other... Deep down values need to be the same but I want to draw on his strengths as I'm sure going to offer my strengths for our lives to compliment each other. If there were no valleys, we would find no mountains to climb!

I think this is a good topic and really a serious question.
I look at who I am sometimes and I do think I see me pretty clearly.
I have lost my 40+years long lady friend that always kept me in the light if I did something good or bad. I being the loving friend that I was, did the same for her. We were two very alike personalities and strong temperment or gentle as a lamb.(she was straight as I am)
I think of her almost a clone of me.
I am sure I would clash with myself sometimes, but the fact that I live to negociate and see all dementions of a situation that me1 and heme2 could talk it out. Agree to disagree and workout a compromise. I don't think we would ever have a stailmate where me1 said to heme2, this is my way or no way.
Neither of us would have a problem saying what we wanted, If it hurt the other, we would be the first to say how sorry we are. If I am really guilty of something, aside from having an opinion of almost everything, it is the need to make those around me happy and take care of them. Sometimes at my own expense, until I can't give any longer. So if this were happening with me1 and heme2. Wouldn't we be happy! Never taking the advantage of this trate, I sometimes see as a weekness.
WOW, all these serious topics, I might need a break from this comupter, but I am worried about missing something important.

no there's an opinion against himself--i would believe we all have strengths and weaknesses, all of us in some way or why are we here on this dating site...i say a good thing is maybe finding someone who can be your strength, where you're weak and visa versa to that too ...that way you cover all THINGS 100% MUTUALLY

What if you spend your time with someone that has the same value system?
* carrying around a mirror* ...lol.....
Possibly, it is like traveling with a GPS on your windshield...
at least have a direction, and a moral compass, avoid the rocky roads...
unless you have and *adore an off road vehicle*.
(maybe you are used to conflict and bumps in life)
Travel in the lane that suits your driving style, if you will. We all drive at
various speeds, and roads to choose from.
Some like country roads, with views including water falls,
and roadside stops for rest and relaxation.
(this can be age related to where you are physically and mentally)
Some like the city life...hustle and bustle, and multitudes of entertainment to choose from. Some of us like a combination...excitement, activity, see and do, and
then rest and relax... partake of the moment, enjoy refreshment and then go again.

part of thinking like our clone is being able to laugh at ourselves too, maybe cry too--and perhaps that makes for searching for the right people too
