Yes there are a few hippies left but we are older and things have changed. No drugs except what the Doc gives us to stay alive. The music has changed from tapes and vinyl albums to CD’s and down loads for MP3’s. The only tie die you find is at the granola store where all the kids buy stuff to try and be like hippies. I think it work for some but not for all. As far as the movement goes…I hate to break it to some of you but it is over. The movement changed politics, the way we view each other and the Viet Nam war “is” over. Movement accomplished, well done!
Move forward....don't stay in the past, you'll miss too much!

Yes, indeedy. Still alive and well, though the shine of innocence is long gone. I still believe in love. I have to. Anything else is madness.

I think I'm just a hair to young to be classified in the hippie generation but I think it was the best generation. The love, the peace, the music, where did it all go?

Hi Shannon -- guess you're not here any longer
I played a gig Saturday, and yes, there are long haired rockers, and ppl who believe in love,
and it's ain't about drugs, it's about turning on the the Beauty of the World and being alive-- the drugs (for me) are incidental and a distraction on the journey-- there are those who would want to control you and tell you how to think and what you shuld or shouldn't do to your body, -- stick a joint up their rectum and light up, light on, peace out.
