if I purchae bottled water...I purchase only spring....I won't pay for processed or purified.....
and the reason has little to do with today's news...the water where I live is very hard....with hard water there are several other factors, both haelth and practile to consider....

sad thing it's easier to tap harmly into spring water then any type available--where is the security/ sure some towns etc test that water but how do you really know if the same test there is the same test some where else--...some mention spring water--what about well water/ same thing--all water when you buy a home has to be tested no matter how it is delivered to your home--anyhow, as kids our water was safe esp when companies didn't pollute the water systems with their waste...even someone that changes their car's oil has to be trusted not to throw it down a sewer/ but is that 100% always the case--

I feel very good knowing we have fresh spring water running down off the hill up the road from me. It is always very cold and good. Have it tested occasionally and it is the cleanest they know of. Time to get the jugs out!

just heard on news that the water tested was in areas where water filtration was very poor (areas with proper filtration would have caught most substances harmful to us) and again that's how substances can be found in such water tested since so many negative substances aren't out numbering water itself--there would have to be millions parts of this substance to out number water substances in the millions too...and that can't happen or we all would be dead--

See where some got all the info they were talking about. Just got my 2007 annual water quality report..

It also has a section on Special Health Info. It says : " Some people may be more vulnerable to comtaminants in drinking water then the General popualation.."

It also said, the Bottle water we buy is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the same requirements that public city water is as far as comtaminants.

Hard to believe that, they have not tasted the water in Elsberry Mo.

Doesn't surprise me in the least. They have been putting clorine in water for yrs. to kill bacteria. Funny thing is, we NEED bacteria in our system to maintain/remain healthy.

They wonder why cancer and other illnesses are on the raise. Government guinnie pigs is what we are.

choosey again your college smarts out weighs your common sence.spring water can be so hard u cant cook beans in it they wont get tender.there are springs everywhere you r paying for the plastic bottle and salt softeners to purify your spring water.it cost the co. a min of say 60cents tomake a coke and your water isnt any cheaper or purer.same and they pay her the big bucks.

dobid...
thanks for the information....no doubt you are right on all points....
when I started this thread it was info from CNN...it had actually nothing to do with anything but...there has been traces of prescription drugs found in the public drinking supply of many cities...according, they have just been found....what the health concerns are at this time were not reported, what was reported was that there is at this point no way of filtering them out, which has several agencies concerned....
then, as many times happens the thread has taken many twists and turns, according to what others choose to post....
my comments about bottled water was from my own experiences with the water in the town in which I live....using tap water in my coffee machine will require I replace it within about 3 mos.....using SPRING, not purafied tap, will give me unlimited use. Thus, I use SPRING water when making coffee.
My comment about my degrees were to admit that I am no science genius....not for any other point, Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.
