Men do this too so it's not just a one gender thing. It's because they've lost interest and moved on. I would do the same and just move on. No sense in trying to figure it out for that will take years and then there still wouldn't be an answer for it. Well at least not a logical one. Best wishes

They don't.
Women plan the break up and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk it all out with their girlfriends till you do the one thing that sets the dominoes in motion.
Some dump you 3 months before they leave you and you'd never know till you come home and the door lock has been changed.
I suppose men do it also? I dunno.. never dated a dude.

No sense in stereotyping male vs. female, anyone can turn off their feelings (man or woman) at anytime for a multitude of different reasons- a better offer is only one of them.

I will have to agree with you on this one. this happened to me 3 months ago. planned to marry and all. had it all planned out to the T. 2 months before it was to be she left me for her abusive Ex. Crazy is the word for it.

Never thought it would happen, but here I am agreeing with Evil Eddy!
The 'breaker-upper' leaves emotionally and mentally long before the tell (or dont tell)
the person they are breaking up with. It leaves the 'broken-up-with' feeling very
frustrated, lots of loose ends, and no one to process it with. It's a mean thing to do.
I would rather even have a note than nothing at all! sorry for your hurt.

How can you say it is better to never have known - it only reason a break up would hurt so bad is because at one time it was so good - experiencing everything life has to offer good and bad is the only way to go - that's why it's called living - besides who ever told you live was supposed to be easy
