I'm wondering why someone thinks I like to be treated like shit??? I don't go looking for an asshole nor would I want one. Assholes give the illusion that they are decent. They are great actors and once they got you hooked then they show their true colors. I end up scratching my head and wonder what happened to the wonderful man I had met had changed when I thought he loved me. It wasn't love, it was all about control. Once I've had enough of the nightmare, I leave and I am quickly replaced by another walking victim falling under the same illusion that I fell for. So it's not that I am looking for assholes, they are working on their Oscar performance ... I think it's a high for them.

i prefer nice guys any day over jerks. thats why i am not tied to a man now. because the have been big jack offs and i won't and don't waste my time. hit the door and don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out

Yes madam, you are right. There are men up there who can camouflage but when things go to the next level they change to their true colours. However, some men are really nice and too soft to hurt women, to even raise their voices but their partners are totally opposite.
It is almost impossible for a couple to be of the same character. Why is that? Same applies to men. Men can be jerks dating nice ladies.
Why not jerk to jerk and softie to softie? I am puzzled.

I would be confused by what you mean by softie?
Many women wouldn't be attracted necessarily to a softie man either...
Do you mean sensitive, sweet, caring, compassionate, attentive?
Or weak?
I'll admit that what I think women are attracted to are men.
The REAL men - in every wonderful, glorious, real, meaning of what a man is meant to be in the life of a woman.
A good man that is.
Even some jerks are at heart good men.
We have them all over the DH.
Players, losers, abusers etc.,
? I don't know why women stay in that situation there are 10 billion options for that answer I think. And no two women are going to have the same reasons.

proud, men just have to except women for who they are. times have changed and so have us women. when i was with my last love, which is now my best friend, i treated him like a king. late nite backrubs. candle lit baths, all the love making he wanted, i love to pamper my man. make him feel as if he is the only man on earth. which i thought he was. i spoiled him rotten. we got along great. the problem he is free spirted. i had to let him go. i loved him to much to hold him down. he is my best friend now, and yes i still love him

Jerks...yes, well I've met several and fallen for some. I think we fall for the jerks because they know how to woo us in and then once they have us, they show their real selves and we are convicted that we need to find the sweet guy that they once posed as. Nice guys, where are you?

I have only ever fallen for Jerks but they are so clever at showing you just want they want you to see until it to late and you have your heart broken again. It has got to the stage where I am wondering where are all the nice guys

Jerks, are only using their partners to fulfil their selfish desires. So if any of you are in the relationships (not marriage), it is easy to run away from those animals without looking back. It will just be difficult for the married ones because marriage is only a one way door and no exit. So I am not sure how to get out of that one once you are married.
So ladies and gentlemen, I think being single is the best lifesyle one can live. What do you think? I will pose this question in my next thread. Please visit my new thread. Thanks for all your support and advices you gave me so far however this topic is still open.

I dunno,last one I was involved with,soon after she had a crisis where her son was in danger & without question I was there wholheartedly for her..Yet when I had a death @home to deal with among other troubles with my own children,she opted to use that as a way to say she wanted out of the relationship..
This after ignoring my messages ,but not those of other guys..Not that she could have & should have called on the phone,which would have been the decent thing to do

well i do agree, i have known women that are with guys that are just plain mean to them, and are really jerks, i dont understand. I consider myself to be a nice, layed back guy, but just cant seem to find the right woman.
