It's always flattering to be asked, but I'm not afraid to. The guy may just be shy, and you might kick yourself in the butt later for not speaking up.

Some of you ladies said you would make the first call and some no. Thats fine but why is it when you chat on the computer back abd forth them when the man gives his number you never hear from them again.

K...I have no problem asking a guy out...but...(yes there is a but)....I prefer that he ask me...but if I feel that he is interested in me and I feel that we should have went out by now then I would definitely ask him...cause maybe he likes me but is shy or nervous...What's the worse that can happen....he can either say no or he can say yes...but no one knows unless he asks or i ask him right? Being old fashion is for the birds...it's the new millineum sorry girls

I have hinted about going out for a coffee, but I still believe a guy should show his interest and ask for a date first.
I think your location has a lot to do with lack of dates. If you make it to Chicago we can go for

I don't know if I'd have the nerve to do it, even if I really wanted to. I'm stuck in an old-fashion mind set, regarding that ONE thing! lol I truly prefer to have the guy do the asking. I do have a new respect for guys, knowing that every time they ask a woman out, they are facing "rejection". I don't know if my ego could handle that! lol
Kudos to them!
