I am on ssi/ssd and the reason why I am on it is because:
Epilepsy- thank god its now controlled and I haven't had a seizure in 7yrs.But I have to take medication daily for it.
Anxiety
Depression from using substances years ago. Which is now better thank god but it will always be there.
I am capable and able to do anything I want. I even got my drivers license back so I am thankful for being able to get this back because most ppl who have epilepsy cannot have a drivers license. I am one of them lucky ones. The only reason I am on ssi/ssd is because of the epilepsy.Its kind of like diabetes, You need insulin in order to make it same goes with seizures, you need medication. But I am perfectly capable of doing anything. Just have to depend on medication so I don't have no seizures. Medical insurance is a must for me.

Oh I forgot to put I am substance free and have not used drugs in over 7yrs so my recovery is #1 in my life and I do attend meetings to keep me from going crazy. LOL. We all make mistakes in life. Unfortunately this was my mistake and I almost died from it. So I am thankful I am not dead and I am grateful for the program of Narcotics Anonymous.

let's see Injury with surgery Crushed left femur that took over a year to get to surgery to put in intradulamentory rod and locking pins ( then only to be advised that that left side is now 2" shorter than right side and that I would always walk with a limp(not) and that I would never run again ( true) and that there would be futher spinal problems ( true)

I have migraines, undiagnosed back pain, chronic ear infections and laryngitis, chronic UTI's, asthma, severe allergies, with hives and/or rashes, a heart murmur and arthritis from rheumatic fever, chronic tendonitis in my elbows, ankles, wrists, fingers, knees, hips, plantar fasciitis in right foot, diabetes, heart disease, TMJ in my jaws, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety attacks, sleep apnea, ulnar tardy in my left arm, and vericose veins. I am lucky that I can still get up and go to work every day(sometimes I hurt so bad) and I know the day will come when I can't get up. I am limited to the type of work I can do right now but I am going to put that off as long as possible. Thanks for listening.
