I don't know what it is with men and druggies, but my mother who is a druggie alcoholic lives damn comfortably because of her boyfriend.
Men like fixer uppers. Plain and simple. You need to weed those kinds out. They want a woman to rescue and they want to be used. They like to feel needed and are basically attracted to that kind of woman for whatever reason.
Perhaps men don't like how you interact with your children? I've met many who said they left because they didn't approve of the woman's mothering. Do you also try to seek males with children of their own? They get the shaft from women and would welcome someone in their own position.

You say you date OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE. That's kind of strange to me. Most people date inside their comfort zone.
Maybe you're self-sabotaging your relationships. You pick men that seem to want drama, yet you say you're not a drama queen.
Re-evaluate your preferences in men. Look for one that has your values.

 some men might like a woman with lots of problems, some think they can turn a wh*re into a house wife, not sure why but just like, some women try to change a man, I knew this lady honestly you would have never known she was once a durg user and street walker her husband took off the street and give her anything she wanted, husband died, in afew months she was back to the durgs and on the streets , in a year she lost her house and spent all the money he left, and family had her son they had about a year be4 he died

So you pin it all on them -not- wanting drama-free, drug-free, educated? Yeah, those are hard to live with.
I think it's more about what you call chaotic, they call exciting (until it bites them in the happy place).
Here's a guess. The more you act like the Mom, the more it doesn't excite them. Especially if you're looking for excitement yourself, and focusing on guys who need the same. And I'm not talking conscious decision necessarily, but gut motivation.

That's the thing I don't act like Mom because I don't want a man to act like my father, I have one of those. I give them space to do things with friends, I don't try to be all in their business because I have enough on my plate as it is, I work, go to school full-time, while making sure my 16 year old is taking care of.
