Either they are not in a position to go different ways and move out, or they really don't care anymore and are willing to just go to their job and come home to a situation of settling and accepting it as it is.
They might have kids and are waiting till they grow up and move out.
They accept it, because its easier then divorce and have an open marriage

Cuz some ppl can't move yet! I wonder the SAME thing! Its a tense sutuation!!! I couldn't DO it!!! The min we broke up I'd be out! My ex wanted to live as room mates and just looking at him made me sick! I couldn't live in a situation like that and not have my own life!!! not being able to do what I wanted cus he lived w me still and stuff like that! That's too stressful! I made him move! It would suck!!!!

when I got divorced, my ex was not able to make it on her own as she was not working and had not yet applied for disability.. I had her living under the same roof as I until she was able to get her disability and then help her get set up on her own in Oklahoma. Just did not see why to have her on the street , after 18 years, as she was still a trusted friend and I do not like to see anything bad happen to my closest friends and family if I have any way to help them out.
