I am now separated, but not because of another woman, but because of my husband's dog! His dog had bitten our three year old son three times prior to the last incident which was a bite to the face that resulted in an emergency room visit for our little boy.
He took the dog while I took our son to the emergency room. I thought he'd be back home (minus fur-face) by the time I got back from the hospital. Instead, he called me the next day and conveyed that he just couldn't part with his baby girl (she's a 100 lb. Irish Setter) and was choosing to move out instead.
So.......how was YOUR week?

This is one gal to another and a dog owner. You are alot better off without your husband. Anyone that would pick a animal that bites over thier family is not to be trusted. I put down two dogs that bit once. No animal is mor important than my kids. Don't take the wrong way I love my dog but if he got that way he'd be gone. It just goes to show you were his heart was. Take a deep breath and say I'm lucky he's gone. Destinies

OMG, I am so sorry to read this. I live on a farm, I have had dogs, bulls, Bore (male hog) and these animals are very dangerous to young kids. If any of these animals would hurt my child I would have gotten rid of the animal within the first hour. I pay a lot for my animals example, I paid $100.000 for a show hefer. To show in competition. But NO animal is worth as much as my child. I would have gotten rid of the hefer my prize bull that cost me half a million. Even the neigbhor kids where playing with the bull. This bull weight is 3000 lbs. I just value kids over animals. I am hoping and praying for you that your husband get his head out of his butt and come to his right state of mind.
My advice is: If your husband continues to think more of the dog than the child!! Get rid of the husband and dog, NOW!!!
