curious70000 Wyandotte, MI age: 46	LOL@You guys, i figure most are the real deal, and what about those that you can't really see them anyway, you see a bit of a figure, an out line but nothing with features, i've seen all kinds of pictures of people that might as well be shadows, some pics are so bad without the handle or the color pink that highlights the handle you couldn't tell if they were male or female?

I am sorry if that offends you but I post in so many forums. Heck I can't remember, what I write at least I get brownie points for being consistant right... Before I continue I want to make it perfectly clear I am not bashing you in any way shape or form just trying to understand okay.. I mean I work in a Very High profile job. I am in and out of the court room. I live on an island for GAWD Sake I couldn't hide if I wanted to.. So I have to ask, Why not just go and have a picture taken with a Cell phone. or something heck I have seen driver license photos, passports. You name I have even seen one Student ID card. Also by your statements I have to ask are you uncomfortable being on a dating site if you are then why post out here. Again I am not trying to pick a fight I am trying to understand, The repeated question about fake pictures, fake identities, etc. Why someone wouldn't want to post a picture. I mean if you are on a dating site. Single wouldn't that be part of the advertisement. Again I am humbly sorry if you choose to take offense to any of this post Rains

gonesailingbabe Des Moines, IA age: 44	curious you are one of the shadow people I enjoy reading in the threads - so don't leave please!!! I will admit though eariler this evening while reading another thread - everyone in it that had posted was a shadow person and for me (JMO) it became very confusing who was speaking - I had to look at the posting then look at the name, then go back to the prior shadow and look at the name and look at the posting and try to correlate who was saying what to whom....just as I was about to SCREAM - a cartoon of a woman posted and answered all of them - the ironies blew my mind!!!!!! All of my photos ARE me and are my sons and my dog and my grapes and my lake... Most even have dates in the corners so everyone KNOWS when they were taken. I don't know why anyone would EVER post a fake photo or a fake profile - unless they have something very deep to hide form everyone or they enjoy playing games and manipulating others I think it's a deep need inside them to feel superior for pulling something over everyone else. And that's not cool! JMO

curious70000 Wyandotte, MI age: 46	Sitkins i've got pictures, but how am i suppossed to get them in my computer, i have a modem, a keyboard, and a screen, no printer, no fax, no scanner, not even speakers,lol,,,,and again, i could have my father probably do it, but again, yes, i wouldn't have him or my mother know i'm on line, and i'm 46 years old for God's sake, they'd freak, they beleive everyone on the internet who becomes in this type of forum are freaks, or mass murderers, but freaks for sure, why have them worry because of me being on a dating site, my mother used to hate it becaue i used to be so involved on a theology site for over 10 years, not a dating site by no means, good set of people, there ended up being a few hook ups, very few, people didn't go there to hook up, nor does everyone who comes here, I'm here by chance i might, very doubtfully though, meet a local guy who is into the things i am and a possible meeting, this type of thing isn't my type of thing, my first time as a matter of fact, except for of course speaking with people all over the world in the theological chat i mentioned. Maybe it's your age that you don't feel the stigma of being on a site like this, and or you say you are on an island, i'm in a very busy metro area that is open 24/7 and my generation just don't do this, the majority of us anyway. It's something i'm trying out, and not very comfortable with having people i associate with, or clientele of mine seeing me on here, it has for the most part the look of desperation, and that's one thing i'm not, i'm perfectly content on being alone for the rest of my life, if that one certain one isn't out there, i've had plenty of time with short and long term relationships, been married and divorced, probably like many out there, and i hear too often how many really desire to not be alone anymore, that isn't my thing, i rather like being alone, i'm looking to meet a certain type of person, not just meeting a mate perse',, and like so many here, don't have the time, or don't want to take the time to do it conventionally? (sp) lol........CRAP,,, how i have went on? that's not like me.

sitkarains Sitka, AK age: 48	Okay first of all I am older than you are. Now your Parents I can totally understand that. When I first went POF back in August I thought my parents were going to die.. But they quickly learned the day of me being controlled was long over about 30 years over. Hun, you have to do what you have to do. You also have to do what you feel comfortable with. Period.. Now I understand and I pray I don't forget and ask you again. If I do I am going to blame it on old age. But back to your topic. I have dated extensively off dating sites. None on this site but the other one yes, I did. What I found is if the picture looked to good to be true there was usually a reason. I mean a big reason. But for the most post I have found good honest people just like yourself and I .. All trying to find that one maybe if we are so lucky.. I wish you well. Somebody you are going to shock the hell out of me and have one posted. Then I am not going to know.. But like Gone stated. A picture helps me know who I am talking to nothing more. For example Neo changed his pict. I had to go to the profile to figure out who in the heck it was. Good luck out here. Heck you will probably be one of the lucky ones

If i was into this type of dating thing all gung ho, it really wouldn't matter what my parents think, but to worry them in their old age for the sake of having a picture up, i wouldn't do that, i was a wild child (and much of my adult years) and i put them through many years of real hell for quite some time. You wouldn't beleive the worries my mother would have if she even thought i would think of meeting someone from off one of these sites, nope, if something ever came of it, then it will be soon enough for her to know, lol. I enjoy your input, and even if i don't ever find that hook up through here, i'll enjoy the forums and your take on many topics. See ya around the threads, oh and if gonesailingbabe ever starts a photo operation as we have discussed in short early on, i might get a pic up,, lol
